Hitters must learn to hunt/ anticipate the pitch you want. Seeing far to many of u waiting to make sure it's the perfect pitch then fouling off bcuz you are late. Think HIT, HIT, then take... not the opposite..

A HS pitcher could do ZERO events for exposure until summer after Jr year & still get huge NIL/ scholarship from any school in country. And even get drafted in top 3 rounds.. Many are getting blown out and injured long before that... Do what u want w/ this info..

To play 3B you must be aggressive in front & to your left. Come get the ball, don't let SS call u off to make a long throw from hole. You have a shorter throw & momentum to 1B. Saw twice this week & each time it cost the team runs & for one team a win. Be aggressive & go get it!

This “No Days Off” mantra needs to stop… will get into this more later.. I have history training w/ some of top MMA guys & obviously top MLB guys,, they take days off. BALANCE is needed for these kids to develop.. Most are severely over or under trained..

Kids: I'm 100% an advocate of strength training. BUT.. To be an athlete you must move: run, jump, twist, turn, explode, stop, slowdown, dive, you get it.... Don't spend your entire break in the weight room or we will see you in the training room after your 1st sprint to 1B.

Explain it to me like I’m 5. Barry ELITE at 19 but dudes think they can teach “little Joey or Bobby” at 11 to hit like 30 year old Barry. BB never played a full season in minors. ELITE is understatement. Here he was at 19. Can common sense return to hitting??

Hitters I’m at college summer game. If facing a low slot lefty the ball is gonna run away from RHH. Stop trying to pull & rollover to SS, drive the ball to RF!!! Your approach matters and should be based on who you are actually facing!!!

Question.. Where are all these advanced hitters? Nonstop trinkets, gurus, lessons & camps. Still see barrels wrapped around heads, barrels dropped & dragged, long slow swings, inside out flairs.. Maybe time to get back to basics, keep it simple & stop w/ all the nonsense jargon.…

What do I look for in pregame? Outfielders working to throw THRU cutoff. Why? I promise u r giving up more free bases than u r throwing runners out with those 20 feet high launches over their head. Create good habits and throw thru cutoff & if it's a "do or die" let it fly.

Be nice to see more pitching guys teaching delivery TIMING, rhythm, direction, landing.. & pump the brakes on putting everyone in stretch while prioritizing shoulder/ hip separation. I've seen enuf open low half, late arms & kids walking off mound holding their elbow this year..

Everyone thinks they’re a swing guru but no one actually wants to do the hard work and be in the dugout all year.. most sell magic fairy dust, if a “coach” has NOT actually done the daily work, ups & downs, rode the rollercoaster they can’t teach you how to hit.. sorry, not sorry

Kids, I’m seeing a ton of pitching videos of max effort delivery & ball scattered all over the place, u look like just another bullpen piece. When coaches call me they ask if I’ve seen any starting pitchers.. Back off the effort, repeat delivery and by all means throw STRIKES!!
