I reckon the standard of AFLW footy gets significantly better each year. Some people are sick of being told what they should think about it. That’s absolutely fine. All I would say is at some stage this year give it another watch. The best is really good. Make up your own mind.

Hawkins will definitely get a fine for “excessive exaggeration” but gets his goal. Not much contact, played it as if shoved by Hulk Hogan. AFL adamant when a player’s arms go up to protest a decision it pay 50m. But now needs to be consistent across the board on umpire dissent

Kane Lambert sometimes played AFL games off half a training session in any given week, his hip was so bad. But because of the trust between him and Hardwick, they backed him in. Needs a hip replacement to live a normal life as he officially retires. Three flags. Great career

The sub rule has whiskers on it. Blokes are getting subbed off with corkies at 3/4 time yet the opposition side can't bring their bloke on. Robbie Gray brought a knee into the Eagles game, got subbed off, has just been passed fit for this week v St Kilda. Is anyone policing it?
