📢ROLE ANNOUNCEMENT📢
I’m so excited to announce that I’m the voice of Queen Princess in

The idea got thrown around of a drag queen being the queen’s

& that’s when I threw my wig into the ring. I auditioned with my best heel forward & got the role!👸🌸✨
Queen Princess is voiced by

In a land of princesses, of course there’s a queen! Queen Princess is ruler of Princess Land & though her past with Traff might be a little rocky, there’s no one more dedicated to saving Hannah’s notebooks than her.

I know everyone is talking about the Will Smith and Chris Rock punch at The Oscars. I would rather use this moment to raise awareness about ableism and what Alopecia actually is for those who may not know.

Thread 🧵 (1/5)
GI Jane is a female fictional character with a shaved head. Making a joke about someone playing GI Jane if they shaved their head for fun can be funny. Making a GI Jane joke about someone who had to shave their head because of an auto-immune disorder is not. (4/5)
⚠️PSA to All Artists⚠️
Twitter has made the *awful* decision to encourage quote tweets over normal retweets. This is going to be deeply damaging to our community. This change will affect livelihoods & incomes!
Non-Artists: don’t QRT art. Reply below & normal retweet. Thank you
Jada Pinkett-Smith opened up about having the condition in late 2021, alongside the decision to shave her head because of it. This wasn’t easy for her to do. (3/5)
If your team is mostly cis, there will be unchecked transphobia.
If your team is mostly white, there will be unchecked racism.
If your team is mostly abled, there will be unchecked ableism.
Having trans, PoC & disabled characters is good, but your team better be inclusive too.
@punishedmother
It’s a self-own too, because:
1) you’re straight-up admitting you’d want to force her to be the one on the left side, which is exactly what she didn’t want.
2) she isn’t dressing for you. She is dressing for herself and to get away from people like you. AND IT’S WORKING💀💀💀

As a fan of both archiving & media preservation & dress up games, know it isn’t all lost👛✨

I want to take some time to talk about Kit Connor, entitlement, fan culture, and the bastardization of the term ‘queerbaiting’.

PSA: in a cis-centric world, it’s up to trans people to decide where they feel safe. NOT up to cis people.
If a trans woman or nonbinary person feels safe in a place for gay men, that’s ok.
If a trans man or nonbinary person feels safe in a space for women, that’s ok.

This reminds me of a vetting strategy I learned. Network in a team of 2: a man & a woman. If someone only looks at and/or answers to the man, blacklist them as sexist & don’t do business with them. Never underestimate someone on the basis of gender.

The funniest part? It’s not even a review. She is asking a news article about the political fantasy in the game to review the game😭😭😭 as a journalist this makes me so confused.
⚠️UPDATES⚠️
1. This will stop in 4 weeks after US election
2. It may not affect non-US users
3. It aims target posts flagged as misleading, but relying on automated flagging rarely works. (ie: tumblr)
4. It is not clear if political art will more likely to be falsely flagged
@Syqitten
I propose one more column! “No” —> “Comment positivity also because the work is great, inspiring & creative, and you can just appreciate the art”

Going off of this: do not be *scared* to negotiate. If they do not let you, they are only trying to screw you and are not worth your time. Most places will let you negotiate a contract. I have negotiated contracts since I was a teen. It is ALWAYS worth it.

Yes! You NEVER owe online strangers anything. Not your trauma. Not your gender. Not your sexuality.
As someone who was dogpiled years ago for writing about queer characters on an account where I wasn’t out, I give nothing but sympathy to other creators. You owe harassers NOTHING
PSA to all white LGBTQ+ games industry folks because something has been bothering me.
Those who know me know I’m very loud about inclusion in terms of both queer & racial diversity, but when I bring up both, there’s a pattern.

‘Good representation’ doesn’t mean ‘actor uses every label said character they’re playing uses who also has clear labels’.
‘Perfect representation’ doesn’t exist.
Let queer stories be whatever they want to be. And let people play these queer characters from the closet.
(12/12)
The idea that transitioning means you *have* to leave or lose access to the safe spaces you once had is damaging and false.
You can still be in those types of spaces *if you are comfortable there*. You are not a traitor to your former identity, nor those who use it. (2/3)

is that they gave us a trans man side character! Way back during “Princess Prom” Adora mentions ‘the star sisters’. In season 5, they are ‘the star siblings’ & one of them is a man! Congrats, Jewelstar!💎⭐️
Real people cannot be ‘queerbait’. It is a media term.
Now let’s talk about entitlement. In the age of social media, a lot of fans feel entitled to access to their favorite celebrities and even their personal lives.
Celebrities don’t owe anyone any personal information.
(6/12)
Now, if you’re *not* comfortable in those types of spaces anymore, that’s also ok.
But the choice to leave should be on your terms, not a cis person saying you no longer belong.
Cis allies: please RT/share this thread (3/3)
Queerbaiting is not a term that can apply to real people. Not Harry Styles, not Taika Waititi, not Kit Connor.
So you may ask, what about instances like tATu and Jessie J? First of all, these are acts that said they were queer and were not. This is a different situation.
(4/12)
PS If you’re playing a game with your friends, and a friend wanted to play a gay character, you wouldn’t try to force them to come out to play the character in the game, right? So don’t do that to celebrities. Their personal life is none of your business.
Thanks for reading!
Let’s start with the term ‘queerbaiting’.
Queerbaiting is a media term. Things like companies selling their show on being homoerotic, but never gay or a game showing a gay couple in their ad, but when you buy it, all the current stories are straight. That’s queerbaiting.
(3/12)
I say this from the bottom of my heart because I know firsthand the pain this entitlement causes.
Lastly, fan culture. This recent push for all queer content to be ‘perfect representation’ is what gives harassment campaigns like the one directed at Kit Connor it’s legs.
(11/12)
Real people lying about being queer to monopolize on queer fans’ money sucks, but it is not ‘queerbaiting’.
And definitely is not justification for harassing celebrities who have not come out or confirmed their sexuality or labels.
Those are two very different things.
(5/12)
Full offense, I’m not interested in being a part of all-white tables for TTRPGs/APs.
I don’t want to be on an all-white talk or panel.
I don’t want to be on an all-white dev team.
Regardless of how queer it is.
And I plead for more white queer people to feel the same.
(3/8)
Since some were asking the difference between Retweet & Quote Tweet... here is an explanation! Normal RT is how to best support artists & if an artist or creator has “no QRT” in their bio/location, this is why.
@Scrape28256431
Retweet: puts the original tweet on your followers feed! Helps spread art, games & creative work! Anyone who RTs or replies will be supporting the original!
Quote Tweet: puts your own tweet with a link to the other tweet. Interactions w/ your tweet DO NOT help the original post.
No one owes anyone any personal information based on the media they make. Especially not their sexuality.
Kit Connor is famous, but every celebrity has a personal life too. He wasn’t ready to come out yet in his. Now he’s out, and he can never take that back.
(7/12)
I had to close an entire chapter of my life to protect myself from what Kit went through.
But Kit didn’t have an online alias. He didn’t even have the one, albeit very painful, out that I did.
You are not entitled to anyone’s queer identity based on fiction they make.

⚠️UPDATES 2⚠️
5. This feature wasn’t supposed to start yet, but has already rolled out for some users
6. It‘s affecting every post they try to RT, not just flagged posts
7. If this happens to you, the only way to subvert QRT is to leave the text blank. It will force a normal RT
First off, context:
Through harassment and claims of ‘queerbaiting’, many entitled fans in the ‘Heartstopper’ fandom forced an 18 year old to come out of the closet as bisexual after the actor was spotted with a girl IRL.
He played a queer character on the Netflix show.
(2/12)
@igirisuhito
As someone who does both, this kind of stuff is so exhausting. Writers, especially in zine, comics and fannish spaces, are greatly undervalued. Story and image work together to create media. Valuing one over the other misses the entire point of why we are here at all.
A little bit of amazing news this week:
#NonCompetes
are now illegal in the United States
#NetNeutrality
has been restored by a historic 3-2 vote today
There is a lot of awful shit happening, but let’s share the good news too!
Dear nonbinary people, trans men & trans women in the games industry,
I know this is a hard time right now. When these problems are discussed, many speak in terms of cis men & cis women, but to all of my trans siblings: your hurt & challenges are not to be erased.
All the love.
I personally relate to his situation as I was once put in a similar one.
Years ago, someone I knew threatened to tell everyone I fetishized queer people based on a short piece of fiction that I wrote. I based the piece on an IRL experience I had, but wasn’t out publicly.
(8/12)
They tried to force me to out myself to justify writing the piece.
Unlike Kit, I didn’t. But my only escape from the constant harassment and from being forced to come out publicly was to leave behind my following and abandon all accounts under the alias I was using then.
(9/12)
@MajorasamTheo
I checked the replies, the attached thread, and the QRTs and NO ONE has said Urie!!! Sacrilege! She will always be one of my favorite magical girls😇💛✨
@februeruri
It’s fucking me up that Ascended Astarion would end up with a Tav who looks so much like Cazador. Gorgeous comic, I love the way you draw them, and much to think about.
I’ll say something like “this being an inclusive/diverse space for LGBTQ+ & BIPOC is important to me”
And like clockwork, a white queer person will say to me “we’re *so* LGBTQ+ diverse!” as if I didn’t say the second half of my statement. As if that is all that mattered.
(2/8)
I’m not the most established person in the industry. I’m queer & disabled myself. But I still have white privilege. So I do what I can to platform & uplift Devs/Creators of Color whenever I can.
And I get frustrated when I see other white queer devs just seem to not care.
(4/8)
If a neurodivergent person tells you they are out of spoons/energy and want some alone time and you keep trying to socialize with them, it is like kicking a hornets nest. Please stop and respect our space.
“You want me to turn down an opportunity just because it’s all white people?”
Try to get PoC included in the opportunity first. But if space is limited & it’s full, then yeah. Turn it down & give your spot to a Person of Color.
I’ve done it many times.
I’ll do it again.
(6/8)
@shardsofblue
And also this about horrible people’s weight. So often, like with Tr/ump, instead of bashing what actually makes him awful, they would just make fun of his size and like, he isn’t going to see that, but fat people who see your tweets will. Neither gender nor size are a “gotcha”.
If someone is having sex with you, and they believe they are your only current sexual partner, but you are sleeping with other people without them knowing, that isn’t polyamory. That isn’t ethical non-monogamy.
That’s called cheating & you’re putting their health at risk.
(7/7)
⚠️UPDATES 3⚠️
8. It *will* affect non-US users. This has just been confirmed
9. The twitter support’s thread was meant as 2 separate measures, so it isn’t ‘accidentally’ happening on every post instead of flagged posts, it’s by design
10. Will affect most users Oct 20 to Nov 3
@comet_melting
When I was 14, I made a level in a game where you can see the exit right at the beginning but you fall through the floor if you walk towards it, and I would laugh like hell at my friends going:
