Four and half hours away from my parents in a town thar caters exclusively to me with the opportunity to form life long bonds because of the aforementioned isolation.
You bet your sweet bippy that's what makes it great.
@gortond21
Corvallis is closer to Seattle than Pullman is.
Pullmans isolation is real. It’s hard though because a lot of cougars say this is what makes it great.
I've said this before but: folks who didn't go to Wazzu won't get it. And that's fine! It's very hard to explain without experiencing it.
But I, like many others, can say I transformed into a better person **because** of Pullman.
The best part is that 99.9% of grads leave Pullman for good so it's this unimpeccable memory of the best four years of your life. Completely absorbed by the town, the people, school, everything.
Then you spend forever chasing that feeling when you come back for football games.
Would I want to live there now? Probably not. Life takes you elsewhere after all.
But that's the magical thing about it: it's a memory and a time I can keep a lock on forever, even spending 8-10 nights a year there as I do.
Best four years of my life. Should've made it 5 or 6.

Pullman is the greatest small town in America. There’s actually no debate about this. More than 99% of the town revolves around WSU. For every one that graduated from Pullman, part of you will ALWAYS be in Pullman.
