On this day 70 years ago the Faculty of Anaesthetists of the Royal College of Surgeons of England was founded! The same year as the NHS! #NHS70 Here’s a picture of the first Board meeting in 1948 – the Faculty’s first dean Dr Archibald Marston CBE is seated in the centre #RCoA70

A year ago, @richardpbacon was put in an induced coma after suffering a life-threatening infection in both of his lungs. Today, Richard says a big thank you to the team at Lewisham hospital, including Dr Mick Jennings and Martine Rooney, who helped save his life. ❤️❤️
