Let's examine their accounting flip-flops: In 2020, the Directors revised the 2019 figures, inflating the previous year's turnover by over £1 million by retroactively including Snapchat's 50% share in PinkNews' revenue. Their justification? A nebulous nod to "industry standard."

BUT WAIT, in 2022, the Directors changed their minds again and decided they wanted to EXCLUDE Snaps 50% share from the previous year's revenue. So, once again, they restated the accounts for 2021. The result? Turnover for 2021 was slashed in half from £7.16m to £3.99m

Outside a PinkNews party, many of us witnessed our COO engage in inappropriate physical misconduct with a very intoxicated junior employee near a tree. When the employee's manager filed a grievance including this incident, they were swiftly removed. The employee left soon after.

Unsurprisingly, two of those women no longer work here. That means, since 2022, a staggering total of SIX very senior managers, including five women & one black, non-binary (AFAB) individual, left PinkNews within a year due to the toxic, misogynistic conduct of the CEO and COO.

Working at @PinkNews was an awful experience. My union got involved in the end ad i had a case for disability discrimination but my mental health was too ill too fight it. Everyone that I worked with on the digital team has left. Highest turnover of anywhere I've worked.

When reporters objected to writing about influencer eating disorders & plastic surgery rumors, denouncing it as misogyny, the CEO aggressively told these women they didn't understand what misogyny meant. He explained that writing about celebs denying a boob job isn't misogynistic

After interviewing a Black candidate from South London for a finance team position, the CFO told the Head of People they weren't fit for hire because, in his opinion, they sounded "too rough". That candidate didn't get the job.

If we raise a formal complaint to HR about our CEO or his husband, the COO, it'll be dismissed by the HR boss— she's a friend of the couple & is managed by the COO If we appeal, our complaint then goes up the ladder to either... the CEO's father or the CFO- a close family friend

The absence of a DEI people strategy might explain PinkNews' all-white senior management. Most of the staff laid off last year were autistic or neurodivergent. Since 2022, six senior women and one black, non-binary exec joined under the CEO/COO. All but one left within a year.
