In which rapacious capitalist scum in their hoodie outfits feign poverty while stealing the privacy of all and selling it to fellow oligarchs. No thank you, sir!

I have loved your work since the 80s, but I had no idea you had such great comedic talent. You should be writing for the next season of Silicon Valley.
Hello all, thought I’d report in. No test results yet, think labs are overwhelmed. Home and hunkered down, fever gets frisky but cough better. Just counted — day 18! Ive been overwhelmed by well wishes. Thank you, friends. Will report more when I know.
And good natured with the white jackets, who I see some on twitter are calling the straight jackets. AOC had a rare bad night, looking not spirited, warm and original as usual but sullen, teenaged and at a loss. 2.
Nice idea out there to help local shops /restaurants/services suffering from decreased business due to virus. Go in, ask if you can buy a gift certificate for future use. They get the money when they need it, you will use it down the road.

This has been a deeply adept speech in terms of policy. He cut to the muscle on legal and illegal immigration, on abortion and infanticide, on foreign wars. His vow on socialism will be remembered. Great heroes in the balcony, a real American panoply. 1
1. This picture captures one of the great moments of the 20th century. It is Mehmet Ali Agca meeting in his prison cell with the man he shot, Pope John Paul. John Paul had forgiven him after the 1981 assassination attempt, and called him his “brother.”
If I had a billion I’d buy up dozens of failing local papers, staff up out of locals and J school grads, set mission to deeply report town, county and state, cause lots of trouble — bright fearless editorials, columns — and put on the masthead ‘Read This Or You Know Nothing.’
This is a big night, a cleaved down the middle night with no one trying to hide the divide. No ameliorating courtesy, no enacting of formal regard. Just the great divide, unhidden and out there for all the world to see.

Dear Lord God you are here, you are with us, you know your son Damar. Help him Lord, be with him, be in the room with the doctors and family, heal him. Allow him to repair, speed the repair. Let him return to the field again and move us with his excellence, strength, and joy.Amen
Justin Timberlake is a real artist — gifted, disciplined. But his fat ego gets in the way of his litheness, quickness, shrewdness. That was just so surprisingly eh.

Interesting, from CBS News just now. A lot of the 76% who approve of the speech would be Trump opponents. And yet they were able to look favorably on its policy approach. In our increasingly polar environment this can be difficult. hard.

I do not deserve it. Your just criticism was complex, bracing - ‘suck it up stupid’ ‘real peeps get irked.’ This is as layered and subtle as anything you have ever written! I labor in the shadow of your gifts, helmsman.
I remove my cap at your sage words. I do not deserve your notice. I apologize for the column I wrote, which is not the column you think I wrote but so what Wise Arbiter.

Sorry

, I utterly disagree this tired trope by a range of fainting columnists on Twitter mobs. It’s different if it is organized bot attacks or calculated hits. But if you’re in the arena and say/do something stupid, suck it up and deal if real peeps get irked.
Now I sob. Is this goodbye? It is all I deserve. But what if I irk the peeps? What if I trope? I will be left undefended, like a Covington Catholic or Brendan Eich’s career. Oh helmsman, stay. Though I am not worthy to carry your Allbirds.

A lot of the big commercials this year feel like they were written by young adults who went to prep school/Ivies and are imagining how normal ‘rough’ Americans experience life. This is usually true but this year feels more so. False, rote, lacking in wit.
And entering into the sepulchre they saw a young man sitting on the right side clothed in a long white garment; and they were afraid. And he saith unto them, Be not afraid. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified. He is risen. He is not here. 1/

If the exit polls hold up this is landmark. In effect an endorsement of Brexit, in fact a vivid endorsement of Get It Done, a kicking away from close-margin European lack of consensus, an utter rebuke of Corbyn and his ‘yesterday’s idea of the future’ stand.
Not surprising the last 24 hours have seen a lot of “token” “boy” or “you’re being used” in my mentions. Let me get this straight...you DON’T want the person who has faced racial profiling by police, been pulled over dozens of times, or been speaking out for YEARS drafting this?

Journalism exists to get the story. That’s its job. The Epstein story is one of the great scandals. It has everything — darkness, mystery, high society machinations, now death. The story is not that conspiracy theorists are flooding social media. 1.

When I was a little girl polio still came and stalked children. Then the Salk vaccine. He became a national hero. Everyone knew his name. In New York we were especially proud because he was from here, and Jewish.
Since 1988, more than 2.5 billion children have been immunized and incidences of polio infections have fallen by more than 99.99 percent. That is, they fell from 350,000 annual cases, to just 22 new cases across 3 countries in 2017.
