A problem with Helluva Boss that I just realized is how the series keep introducing villains before even being done with the previous villain. These aren’t simple monster of the week villains, but rather villains who are clearly meant to be overarching threats (1/2).

It's wild how if Penny had killed Cinder at this moment, the trajectory of the volume would have changed completely. But when she saw how tearful Emerald got over Cinder, she showed them mercy. It really highlights how much empathy Penny could have for people, even her enemies.

Ruby felt more comfortable leaving a goodbye letter to Tai that explained how she would be traveling to Haven rather than telling him face to face. And then there's the fact that Tai never told either of his daughters much about their respective mother for the longest time (3/3).

While the breakup was inevitable, I think the show handled it phenomenally with it being even better then the comic version. You can truly hear the heartbreak in their voices as they realize that they just can't be together. "I can't live in your world" is also peak writing.

This run already been a mess with its treatment of Peter and MJ, but it became even worse when you decided to fridge Kamala! It doesn't matter that she'll be coming back, this is still despicable!
