The
#1
&
#2
ranked prospects out of the 2025 Class from Nebraska are off the board!
Neleigh & Norah Gessert have both committed to
@CreightonWBB
to continue their collegiate careers together.
A big commitment for the Bluejays as they each had several Power-5 offers.
Congrats…
I find it hard to believe that high school programs have the players best interest in mind when they don’t post their team’s stats or have some sort of livestream..
How are college recruiters from out of your area/state, suppose to see you?
Make it make sense.
AAU Players - Somethings to note going into this season:
➡️ Attitude > Everything else - Make sure through everything that you have a positive attitude. Anyone watching from afar notices almost right away if this is an issue. It’ll get you crossed off a potential recruiting…
A little personal news..
This upcoming college basketball season I will be joining
@BYUMBB
as a scouting intern. I am truly blessed with this opportunity & can’t wait to get to work!
(I will still retain my positions w/
@PrepGirlsHoops
&
@PrepHoops
!)
#GoCougars
As today kicks off girls high school basketball practice in Iowa & the beginning of collegiate ball nationwide, I think everyone should remind themselves as to why they are playing the game.
The season can be tedious & things won’t always be easy but those times will make you…
**Attention: High School Prospects**
Below is a google doc that
@courtstrait
& I have put together in the past to help players navigate during live periods in the recruiting process. Enjoy!
To all those players out there putting in HUNDREDS of hours of training & hard-work in an empty gym this summer, enjoy it. One day you’ll look back and miss it.
- This is where you really fall in love with the game.
- THIS is where you win meaningful games.
Keep workin 🤞🏽
AAU Players:
No matter how the start of AAU season has gone for you..
Remember - all the work you did in the off-season, that’s what you are seeing right now.
Make sure you are practicing full speed w/ game-like reps. It’s obvious the ones who are & who aren’t.
I attended 35+ games this weekend between
@niketoc
,
@NikeGirlsEYBL
, &
@USJN
.
Here are some things that stood out to me having to do with players, parents, and coaching. (Sorry in advance for how random this may get 😬)
• Players •

📍 Nike TOC - Nike Nationals - USJN Premier Showcase 📍
Now that all the schedules have been released, drop yours below! ⬇️
I’ll be in attendance!
(Hoping to get
@PGHByron
&
@pgh_lisa
out there as well! 😏)
@niketoc
@USJN
@NikeGirlsEYBL
& that’s going to take the
#1
player out of the 2024 Class in Nebraska off of the board.
Congrats
@Brittprince23
&
@HuskerWBB
! 🔥
The Cornhuskers beat out several P5 schools to secure Prince. Schools such as Iowa, Indiana, USC, Oregon, North Carolina, Ect..
@PGHNebraska
Some of the best players I saw today, in both skill work & competitive play:
(In no particular order)
Grace Linder (2025) - Des Moines, Iowa
Jaliyah Kinnetz (2026) - Johnston, Iowa
Reagan Loewe (2025) - Hurley, Iowa
Katelyn Odem (2024) - Mequon, Wisconsin
Adalyn Long…
.
@BourrageDivine
, a top 3 player out of the 2025 class in Iowa, had debatably the best AAU season in the state for any individual player…Will be moving to Example Sports AAU moving forward.
Major moves by both parties here. Big time player with a big time program. 💪🏽
& the current
#1
player out of the 2025 class in Iowa, according to
@PGHIowa
, is off the board.
@Journey_Renae
has been fascinating to watch the past few years. Coming off of a productive AAU season w/ her
@AllIowaAttack
17U EYBL team, this is a solid commitment for
@IowaWBB
!
I’d like to thank all of the coaches that have recruited me the past three years and thank you to my parents and all of my
@AllIowaAttack
coaches for helping me get to where I am today ! I am excited to announce my commitment to the University of Iowa! 🐥🏀
#GoHawks
@IowaWBB
Big time player, making big time plays. Business as usual. Congrats
@JenicaRaine10
!
There is a reason she is the
#1
player in the 2026 class in the state of Iowa 😤
@LadyPurePrep
Some of the best advice I ever got was to “run your own race.”
I see a lot of recruits falling victim to comparison this time of the year. Don’t let that ruin your joy.
Keep pushin 🤞🏽
Recruits:
No amount of skill can make up for a bad attitude on the court. No one wants a player in their program who blames others or gives up when things get difficult.
9/10 times a college coach will take a less skilled player w/ a better attitude, if it comes down to it. 🤷🏻♂️
& the
#4
ranked player out of Iowa from the 2024 class is off the board. The
@nwbearcatwbb
secure another commit from the state of Iowa 👀
Stanley was fantastic last year. Shifty, efficient, & witty at the PG spot. I’m expecting much of the same this szn.
Congrats
@brooksader
!
I am proud to announce my commitment to NW Missouri State to further my academic and basketball career! Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way! GO BEARCATS 💚
⬇️ GREAT STEP-BACK EXAMPLE! ⬇️
This video is a great example of a player UNDERSTANDING space, the situation, and HER own ability.
She narrowly attacks her defenders hip, gets to a spot she likes and separates OUT, compared to stepping back.
Bravo
@aubtheballer1
! 👏🏼…
You wanna stand out to college coaches?
Produce without being ball dominate.
Show a coach you can fit into their system and do whatever they ask. If you can help your team without having the ball in your hands consistently, coaches will love you. 👊🏼
Iowa’s very own
@JCSD_Girlsbball
ends the season at
#12
in the country following their 5A State Title run.
The highest ranking I can remember from a team out of this state on the girls side in a very long time.
Congrats y’all! 🔥
& the
#10
ranked player in the 2024 class out of Iowa is off of the board!
Great pickup for the
@nwbearcatwbb
.
@_aaliyahriley
was one of the best players last year in Iowa high school basketball at the guard position. She is sure to be in that same conversation this upcoming…
High School Players:
Offense can get you onto a college roster but if you can’t defend your position off of the dribble, you will have a hard time seeing/staying on the floor. 🤷🏻♂️
🔹 Collegiate Program Spotlight 🔹
I've been really impressed w/ what
@NIACCWBball
has been putting together over the past few seasons.
A program out of Iowa that has been gaining momentum for some time now, is consistently receiving calls from D1/D2 programs, asking about…
This evening will begin a two week series on the High School Preseason for girls basketball here in Iowa.
This series will include our Preseason Rankings for each individual class going into the season. Along w/ Playmakers, Sleepers, Rim Protectors, College Ready Athletes,…
Whenever things get tough, I always ask my players, “Why do you play basketball?”, & the answer is never b/c they want to be rich or famous.
Well this is why people coach. It’s not the pay or status.
It’s the impact you can make in someone’s life that makes it all worth it. 🤞🏽

17U EYBL tips off for the EYBL National Championship at 3:30 CT on ESPNU. (In 30 minutes!)
A team w/ a roster mostly made up of Iowa natives coming together to show out for the state.
Players like:
@Journey_Renae
(

in 2025)…
HS PLAYERS:
If you want to be successful at the next level, you need to be able to make a difference w/o the ball.
Plain & simple.
I see a lot of players training for that next level and all they do is dribble into a single skill move or shot…What happens when you need to…
Sitting here tonight thinking & like always, I’m thankful.
I’m thankful for everyone God has brought into my life. I’m thankful for the people that I am blessed enough to call “my people.”
As my friends
@CoachTanoff
&
@BryanBender
would say:
People > Things
🫶🏾🙏🏼🤞🏽
Shoutout to all the point guards & shooting guards playing out there this weekend, especially here in Appleton.
I’ve seen some ELITE handles, great vision, and crafty passing over these past few days 👀
#PGHChampionsChallenge
To all the other players that weren’t named today. Keep your head up & keep ballin. It doesn’t mean your a bad player in any sense. I’m just one person walking around a gym w/ 90+ players giving it their all. Timing does play a factor in these things. 🤞🏽
Lastly, I would like to…
I did a write up during the first AAU tournament this spring about Lorena Awou and how good she could be at the next level.
Has great size, is physical, & is efficient. Elite level player w/ a high motor. Really fun to watch compete. Congrats
@lorenaawouu
!
@mwehoops_eybl
Two top 2028’s out of the Midwest from this past weekend..
Both prospects have already taken a few Power-5 visits prior to their first contest on a high school floor.

Yosten reopens her recruitment after a coaching change at D2 - Augustana.
@averyyosten
is a 6’2 Forward, who is agile, coordinated, & balanced in her all of her movements w/ a great feel for the game.
She will be high priority for a decent amount of programs out there still…
Due to a coaching change at Augustana,
𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗬𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻
@averyyosten
(6’2, 2024)
is reopening her recruitment.
Played on our 17U UAA team for two years. Avery had multiple D1 offers
🔹
@ETGmwgbb
17U 3SSB should be on this list soon…
• Undefeated on the season so far.
• Average margin of victory during their first live period - 27.7 Points
• Three D1 commits on roster.
• Seven others either already hold D1 offers or they have high interest.
📈
BIG time commitment for
@CoachTheoDean
& D2 -
@Truman_WBB
!
Hope is a 5’11 forward, out of the 2024 class, with a lot of versatility on both sides of the floor. She is sure to be a steady producer at the college level.
Congrats
@sophiaHope30
!
I am excited to announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Truman State University! Thank you to ALL my coaches who have pushed me to be the best version of myself and Coach Dean and staff who took the time to recruit me and believe in me! Go Dawgs!! 💜
