Teams who effectively share the ball shoot a higher % from the field. Good shots become great shots with one more pass. Proper spacing & lane touches help shooters get open looks by forcing the D to scramble. Hockey assists and dribble to pass ratios are GREAT things to track.

Wish there were more PG’s that were willing to pitch it ahead after receiving the outlet pass instead of slowing down the break with the dribble. But then again, if players aren’t sprinting the floor it doesn’t matter. All 5 players have to be on the same page. Quit being lazy!!!

Best way 2 teach a new skill/drill? Involve all 3 learning styles! On average players retain 10% (Auditory) 30% (Visual) 60% (Kinesthetic). And don’t forget, ALWAYS teach the WHY! If players don’t know the why, they aren’t learning the game. @FastModel @MAXONEapp

Successful transition teams strike with the pass, not with the dribble. The goal? Lay-ups, pull-up jumpers, corner 3’s and drag action 3’s. Open floor spacing is key. Always focused on attacking and making shots! All 5 guys sprinting and filling their role! @FastModel @MAXONEapp

Without ball/player movement, a team is easy 2 defend. Swinging the ball, sharp cutting & proper spacing are prerequisites 2 scoring. Teams who do these things force the D into scramble situations. Long close outs = uncontested shots & better driving lanes. @FastModel @MAXONEapp

90% of a child’s coordination is achieved by the age of 12. But yet people want to specialize and play a thousand games when their kid can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. Play multiple sports. Work on skill and motor development. Most of all .. have fun getting better!

Hate to see players skip (or not take) the weight room seriously. Much can be corrected through proper training. For example, improving stability. Stability provides more power through better engagement of muscles, helps improve alignment, and ensures correct timing in the shot.
