Imagine going to school and coming back to your mother, your father and 6 of your siblings gone, in one go. Subhanllah. May allah ease his pain and take them to Jannah.
Note to self: When you're from a BAME background and you get into the media industry, you have to hold the door open for others to join as well as doing your part to be a voice because representation is crucial, especially at a time like this.
Seeing so many people graduate has made me proud of people I don't even know! it's great to see that the youth are changing the narrative... mine is still pending... bring on November!
Better late than never...

It's important that we understand our history, heritage and anniversaries. It's equally important for the diaspora to support one another in learning and knowing the facts about our history.

Day 16 of Ramadan
Note to self:
Always pray to have eyes that see the best in people, a heart that forgives the worst, a soul that never loses faith in Allah.
Alhamdulilah for another Eid Al Adha. It’s important to show gratitude for our health, family and for the food we eat, especially during these uncertain times. It’s equally important to pray for those who don’t have that.
Every test is a blessing and every blessing is a test.
Note to self: you’re unique. Your difference is an asset.
This is something I’ve learnt throughout years of trying to break into the media industry with my hijab.
Never change who you are because you will reach your goals if you stay true to yourself.
Reminder to self:
“Allah (s.w.t) gives his hardest battle to his strongest soldiers. When you're being tested, you’re being perfected by your Rabb to bring you closer to him. So endure them with a Smile, a Strong heart and complete Faith & Tawakkul in Allah (s.w.t)”.
Note to self: reaching a point in your life where opinions don't affect you, being comfortable in your own skin, your morals and everything you stand for is so rewarding. Alhamdulilah always.
As we enter the holy month of Ramadan I hope you strengthen your imaan, your good deeds & your prayers. Remember those who are less fortunate than you, those who struggle to make ends meet & those who couldn’t make it to this Month.
#RamadanMubarak
to Muslims all around the world
Ramadan Mubarak to all Muslims across the world. May this blessed month bring us all inner peace and contentment, tranquility and strengthen our imaan. May Allah accept our prayers and multiply our good deeds.

Nothing can compare to the happiness you feel knowing that your parents approve of you and all that you do, knowing that you are the reason they smile. Alhamdulilah.
