@egyptianhotgirl I worked with mostly refugees from Sub Saharan Africa and they faced daily harrsment espesically those who couldn't speak Arabic. Our legal aid team had multiple cases where the basis of attacks were them being black. Very few get prosecuted tho

I have so much to say about how we ended up with such a law, nothing happens in a vacuum. LGBTQ+ rights in the region are seen as a Western product, and being anti-LGBTQ+ is the newest symbol of being anti-Western. Considering the West response in Gaza, you should get the idea.
