In January, #Houthis sentenced 32 men to prison, death by stoning/crucifixion, and/or to flogging on dubious charges of "sodomy." This is one of many cases of Houthis charging people with immoral acts as a cover for their brutality + lack of due process.

The report is just a start. Yemen needs accountability, and an investigative mechanism is a necessary step to achieving this.

🚨🚨 new report from Mothers of Abductees Association in Yemen documents 1799 cases of kidnapping and arrest, and 865 cases of torture, over a period of four years. All warring parties are complicit in the violations, but particularly Houthis.

Flashy reconstruction projects are not enough to repair the widespread harm that #Saudi inflicted upon #Yemen . Saudi, along with the other parties to the conflict, must be held accountable for their violations, and reparations must go beyond reconstruction efforts.

Over the last two weeks, guards in Jau Prison in #Bahrain have escalated abuses against political prisoners, including by beating them and destroying prisoners' property. At least two political prisoners have been transferred to an unknown location, according to @BirdBahrain_ .

A day after children swam in the fountain in Samir Kassir Square, Beirut officials have decided to drain it. Keep in mind the city has no public pools and it’s public beaches have been illegally privatized by resorts.
