The one comment I will make is to those claiming the public don't care about this.
The amount of people following the BBC live page alone is at Brexit/election levels.

"The Ofqual Board supports Sally in this decision, and thanks her for her leadership and service."
Can I recommend people watch the

It wasn't a straight forward BBC bashing, far from it, but instead an interesting take on the challenges facing journalism in this political era.
PERSONAL NEWS KLAXON: After almost six years of ALL THE NEWS at the BBC, I am heading off to pastures new after recess and joining the excellent online politics team at

at the end of June.
Well, now it has been formally announced inside the beeb, just a note to let you know I have been made permanent on the BBC Politics Online team... :)
It really is a dream come true after competing for my place for... well... years! I'm ecstatic!
one of my favorite sounds ever is the sound of a crisp new newspaper being read over breakfast for an hour or so… The popping out of it, the folding, the scribbling on the crossword… I hope it never goes out of fashion in our digital world. It is too romantic. 🗞️♥️
Cannot praise

enough. An amazing and brave correspondent brining us the facts from the ground of Kabul. Journalism at its very best. Stay safe.
Some Tory MPs have expressed concern about Mark Spencer's appointment as leader of the House while he is under investigation for Islamophobia - allegations he denies:

The Tories say they will not remove the whip from the MP accused of rape. They did remove the whip from Charlie Elphicke when he was accused of assault (now found guilty). Oh, and they removed it from Julian Lewis when he won the select committee election over Grayling.

More on Sky News:
Damning response to Sunak's speech from RCN.
Pat Cullen has written to the health secretary, saying the PM is "detached from the reality" of what is happening in the health service, and said his speech focused on "false promise and hollow boasts" rather than practical measures.
Suella Braverman MP claims that she is "the only authentic Brexiteer standing" in the Conservative leadership race, she continues by saying she is the only one who who has 'proven under extreme pressure that she has a vision for Brexit.'

I am going to point this out again. People are able to be sad about London/Essex/Herts going into Tier 3 without undermining the struggles of those who have been under Tier 3 conditions for a long time. Let's try and support each other on this, OK?

And thanks for believing in public service journalism, no matter how hard the punches.
I am proud to have worked alongside you.
Government makes announcement, ex-minister criticises it. So far, so normal. But a serving minister retweeting the criticism?
More on the story here as Tories face off with each other again over housing policy:
I apologise, Twitter followers, for your disappointment. Shame on the BBC for hiring someone who doesn't know her classics. And shame of me, as my preference for fantasy fiction and Slipknot has clearly impeded my ability to cover elections, terror attacks, Grenfell and Brexit.

Sir Keir Starmer says the nation "share in the grief" of the Royal Family, adding: "Above the clashes of politics, she stood not for what the nation fought over, but what it agreed upon."
He also hit back at criticisms from Owen Jones, who has called SKS a "con man" over the change.
Starmer said: "I am not focused on Owen… I am focused intently on winning the next general election."
Clearly no love lost between Grant Shapps and biz committee chair Darren Jones.
The pair debate the economic decline (or not) of the UK.
Jones says it goes down since 2015, Shapps says economy has grown since 2010.
Jones then tells Shapps off for being rude and interrupting
Now Chancellor Rishi Sunak takes a swing on Partygate and what would happen on "his watch"...
"We have always been the party of sound money — we will always continue to be on my watch — and that is the only kind of party I am interested in."
I was in the hall for Starmer's speech and the atmosphere couldn't have been more different to last year's.
It had changed from tense, divided and full of heckling to supportive, excited and full of standing ovations.
Just did my first day for the regions team at BBC Millbank, and what a slick operation!
Excited to be part of it going forward, while keeping the online politics role I love.
Got to enjoy a happy day in otherwise bleak times...
My best one was on a first date.
I sent a text to my best mate saying: "He is quite grumpy, but is pretty and is buying me a drink, so that's the important stuff covered!"
But I didn't send it to my best mate. I sent it to him...
Tried to make a joke of it, but... he left.

Which text message have you regretted sending?
xxx sent to the boss? Sexts sent to your dad? Bitching sent to the person you're bitching about?

That was quite the PMQs, but the biggest line is Truss committing to the triple lock on pensions - meaning they will need to rise by 10.1% in April.
Why is that big? It has been a Tory commitment for ages? Well, it comes after Hunt refused to commit to it just 48 hours ago.
Sometimes, people scoff in Westminster at journalists that come from a trade press background. Right now, I couldn't be prouder as CW alumni. Keep fighting the good fight

An aside... it isn't a major surprise people are resigning now before they get booted out in the reshuffle tomorrow.
It means people can do it in on their own terms and get their letters out there, rather than painful phone calls and disappearing into the distance...
