Varsity moves to 8-2 after a road victory at Malibu. Junior Quincy Bentley led the way with 36 points (school record nine 3s). Freshman Cooper Lucas had 12 and junior Seth Berman added 7.
As mentioned last night, but deserving of its own post, Cooper Lucas became the programs all time leading scorer. Cooper currently has 1533 points and counting (hopefully). The previous leader was Matt Solomon with 1520.

A four year varsity player, Solomon led the Panthers in scoring the last three seasons. The 35 wins he helped compile his final two years are the most wins for the Panthers in consecutive seasons since the 1990s. He also finished his career with over 400 rebounds and 250 assists.
Unfortunately, we did not receive an at large berth for playoffs. We finish our season with a record of 17-10.

Demelfi, a two year starter, served as the defensive stopper for the first Newbury Park teams to put together back to back winning seasons in over 15 years. In just two years on varsity Nickerson was able to amass 589 points and 256 rebounds, hitting an incredible 49% from 3.
