Ross High community was in shock last week to hear of the passing of retired PT Guidance, Derek Smith. Our thoughts are with his family. He was one of life’s good guys and will be sorely missed by all who had the honour of knowing him.
Genuinely loving seeing our senior pupils back in school today. An emotional day in so many ways. Thanks to all for support in getting to this point and for helping ensure a very positive start back.
Great to meet our new S1 pupils today in their new school. What a really cracking bunch! Looked great too in their uniforms-thanks for support with this. Welcome to Ross HS. See you again on Monday.
Results day always a day for mixed emotions, perhaps this year more than any other. Always proud of all Ross High pupils, no matter what the certificate says. Whatever the outcome, joy or disappointment, we will always be there for you

Please have a restful break everyone. You deserve it. Please do take care. We are all in this together. Never been more proud of our school community.

A big huge thanks to all Ross High staff who inspire me everyday. They try their best for our pupils and I know they will continue to even in these trying times.

Although covid has struck in RHS thankfully we were still able to get provisional results to our seniors this afternoon in the sunshine. Such a positive afternoon. Well done to all for seeing it all through to this point.

Merry Christmas from all at Ross High. Thanks for all the support from our incredible parents/carers throughout this challenging term. Our pupils have shown great resilience throughout and I am very proud of them all. Happy and healthy break to all.

Happy holidays to all at RHS. What a term: strange, difficult, confusing, frustrating, sad. Yet unifying and filled with moments for us all to be proud of. Thanks to all. Best wishes.
As we head towards the end of this crazy, crazy school year this evening was a great reminder of why this is the best job in the world. The future is bright.

Thanks for all the kind words today. Not how I would have wanted to bow out after 40 years at Ross but maybe we’ll be back in June🤞🏼It’s been a privilege to work with so many fantastic young people and staff over the years. I will also be

Got my booster this evening. While in the short queue I took time to be grateful for how lucky we are in this country to have a National Health Service with wonderful, caring, committed staff on a Friday evening. Merry Christmas one and all.
Class of 2020 - this would have been your Prom night. All
@rosshigh
teachers have shared their dance floor anthems. Thinking of you all today!! Until we can celebrate together have a boogie in your living rooms/bedrooms to these 🎉💃🏻😆
Brilliant day with all pupils back in the mighty Ross High. Pupils were great in so many ways! Staff all smiling and happy to see them all again too.

Tough times just now but one thing that remains is the work ethic and commitment of all staff at Ross High. I continue to be overwhelmed by their creativity, flexibility and relentless endeavour to keep learning going for the good of all our pupils.

Lovely morning in difficult circumstances when
@SkySports_Keith
and Hearts legend Gary Locke dropped in on our ELT mtg to wish
@RhonaMcNaughton
well as she heads to retirement. Video to follow.
And the wonderful S2/3s today make it a full house for Ross High. After many months of frustration, planning and hoping, can’t wait until ALL are back on Monday. Enjoy the weekend, as we set sail together on Monday.
Not your usual last day at Secondary School. Incredibly proud of each and every one of you!
It’s a mark of how outstanding you all are. The S6 have really stepped up and shown so much resilience and positivity in these really testing times!!

So exciting to welcome all staff, along with a good number of new staff, back to Ross High this morning. Lots of positivity in the air. Nina Simone summed it up well ‘it’s a new dawn, it’s a new day...and I’m feeling good’.
Not the leaving party we wanted for a very special RHS legend. However, we couldn’t let
@RhonaMcNaughton
retire without saying our goodbyes. Thank you for dedicating your life to the Ross High community Rhona. You will be missed.
One very proud HT this evening. Tonight’s Christmas Concert, the 1st in 3 years, was genuinely good for the soul. So proud of our amazing pupils tonight. And, of course, our incredible staff too.

I’d like to thank all staff at Ross High. Their commitment, flexibility and positivity throughout this challenging year has been inspirational.
