We would like to introduce you to the newest member of our school community: this is Lucky. Named by the pupils in our primaries and here at MCS. When Lucky is a little older she will be meeting you all in person and be available for cwtches. 🥰🐶
Our whole school community is devastated by the loss of Kane Edwards who tragically died on Tuesday. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time and we ask that the privacy of his family, friends and school community be respected.
Dear Parent/Carer, please accept our heartfelt thanks and help us let your children know how very proud of them we are. They have been exceptional! Calm and mature and have taken on board the changes we have had to make to keep them safe. Have an excellent weekend 🥰
After weeks of trials and very hard work, Year 8 pupil Gracie has been offered a place in the FAW Girls Welsh Football Academy!! Congratulations!!

New year 7 are fed and watered. They are an absolute delight! Polite, well mannered and every single one of them put their litter in the bin after lunch!! 😍 I think the chocolate cookies have gone down a storm too
It's times like these we appreciate the people in our lives. We miss you all and can't wait for you all to be back where you belong; with us, learning together. 🥰🤗
Thank you again to all the students and families who came tonight to support the achievements of our young people. Thank you to
@GwenCrabb
for an amazing motivational talk!
Y7 are in and settled into their temporary groups. They look absolutely fantastic in their uniforms! We’ll update parents with year group contact details via letter and website shortly.

Gracie was selected for International duties for Wales U15 UEFA/FIFA tournament in Serbia, which included North Macedonia, Chile & Serbia. Gracie made her debut in the starting line up against 🇨🇱 Chile.
Today we’ve marked a whole year since the tragic death of Kane. His closest friends have been together to help create our remembrance area in the courtyard and we’ll add to this with a bench and plaque very soon. Our thoughts are firmly with Kane’s family ❤️
Thanks to all staff and pupils who give up Sunday to participate in the Llanelli race for life. It was a brilliant day, and the pupils were amazing; a credit to the school.
Thanks to Mrs James and Mrs John for organising.
Thank you to our amazing staff who have been awesome in going above and beyond to resource distance learning and keep everyone calm & informed. Y11 in particular have been so good today especially when their end of year celebrations have been cut short and some of them cancelled
An outstanding first week back! My favourite moments have been witnessing older students patiently helping year 7 find their way around, escorting them to class when they’ve been lost and helping them negotiate the canteen. Beautiful!
Thank you, Morriston School Community. Yesterday we raised £636.83 for Stand up for Ukraine.
This amount was added to the Swansea Schools Stand Up For Ukraine JustGiving page which helped it reach £9115.00
That's 91% of its £10,000.00 target.
Congratulations to Makenzy Beard, Year 9, whose painting has been selected for exhibition at the

On our way home. Just stopping for a re-fuel
Y7 confidently made their way straight to their groups this morning. We welcomed our returning y11 who also look immaculate in their uniform! They’ve also grown up so much in the last 6mths since we’ve seen them!! 🥰
Any proceeds from our school performance go straight back to the performing arts department and the children to ensure we can facilitate future productions.
Well done to all our amazing pupils and staff who work tirelessly every year to put on our shows!

We're helping our homeless this winter. We want to recycle crisp packets (with the foil inside) into bivvy bags to insulate sleeping bags. 150 packets will make one bivvy bag. Just split them down the seam and wash them out. Bring them into the Pastoral office. 😊
