It's funny to me that most of the time it's other people who think about the fact that I can't see things more than I do. I can't see the color of my hair but that doesn't stop me from loving that it's pink. I can't see myself but that doesn't stop me from feeling beautiful.

Today I admittedly lost my temper with an Uber driver who wouldn't allow me into his car with my guide dog because it "wasn't an Uber Pet" - after trying to explain that I'm blind, educate on the ADA/Ubers policy, etc. he still said no and I lost it on him. (1/2)

Gallop was at the vet for 12 hours yesterday. He had a surgery to remove the lump on his back and is now recovering. Unfortunately we won't have the test results back to determine what the lump is until Wednesday, earliest. Please keep him in your prayers!

Last night I was too anxious to sleep so I woke Gallop up and had him come snuggle to calm me down. He happily curled up in the crook of my legs and helped me fall asleep. Tonight he remembered how I felt last night and without being asked jumped up onto my bed and did the same!

I love that Gallop just knows to get out of my way when I'm walking his direction, even when he's off harness and sleeping on the floor. He just shoots up from his nap and gets out of the way! Realistically speaking, it's probably just so he doesn't get stepped on, but still!

I think I've turned Gallop into a diva... He had a full bowl of water but was laying beside it as if he was thirst. I stuck my finger in to make sure it was full and not too warm, it was perfect. I decided to empty it, refill it, and add ice. I put it down, he drank all of it.

I'm pretty sure my cat knows I'm blind... She's taken to pushing her toy to my foot when we're playing and I can't find it on the ground. She has also started to make a small moan sound when I'm close to stepping on her to let me know she's there!
