Yet again I’m hearing of tremendous courage and bravery by unarmed . @metpoliceuk officers in London this morning tackling someone armed with a knife. Also swift action to render first aid at the scene. I’m so proud of all involved. Thoughts and speedy recovery all. 💙💙

My eldest daughter is a front-line nurse in London. Her dedication, determination & resolve is humbling. I can’t begin to say how proud I am of her & ALL her colleagues at this difficult time for everyone. ALL her team are pulling together and working flat out. #NHSThankYou 💙🇬🇧

Just raising a glass to an outstanding police officer sadly killed on duty earlier today. The pain and suffering of his family, friends and colleagues will be unimaginable grief and pain. I and others share that grief. Rest in peace brother 💙 Good will always triumph over evil.

Police Dog Kaiser @MetTaskforce is "lucky to be alive" and an officer is facing weeks off work with a broken wrist following a knife attack in #Orpington Despite being stabbed in the head five times, Kaiser kept hold of the man until he was arrested. Well done Kaiser!

Over the past few days I’ve personally had to block a number of almost entirely ‘anon’ accounts who subjected me to abusive & degrading insults for supporting our police in recent days. Got to say from mainly the far left. Thankfully I’ve big shoulders. Never did like cowards 👍🏼

Dear Prime Minister. Since the loss of over 21,000 police officers, 25,000 civilian staff, 600 police stations - demand, violent crime inc knife crime has rocketed. You actually need officers able to proactively enforce & the CJS to deliver! Tougher laws are simply NOT enough.🇬🇧

Tougher laws come into force today so police can intervene if someone is suspected of carrying a knife, helping prevent young people getting involved with knife crime in the first place. We’re giving police the powers they need to keep our families, communities and country safe.
