I thought I was alone in wondering this. My biggest gripe in the work world. Drastically hurts my chances to break into the games industry.
@MichaelG_3D
I've asked that to a AA game studios RH. They didn't give a straight answer tho, but I think they just don't trust people without some school diploma.
@MichaelG_3D
I've noticed this is a major trend across industries. Like what John said we need apprenticeships but companies don't want to invest in people anymore.
@MichaelG_3D
Mostly because there is funding available through various government entities to bring in internship/coop people that are still in school.

ikr! like how am i supposed to get a job now that i've graduated college? none of the open positions i've are entry level and all of the internships aren't available to you once you graduate. it's so confusing and i'm so lost- 😭
@MichaelG_3D
It's like.. if you didn't already know specifically what you wanted to do when you were in college *and* applied *and* get accepted, then you kinda out of luck once you graduate. Seems a bit silly. Graduation shouldn't have to close so many doors for you.
