UPDATE: #Wildfire near Foxwood community in Stuart is 100% contained, but brush truck crews still work to prevent flare ups. Area will be monitored this week due to high temps, dry conditions & gusty winds. Crews from 5 stations worked tirelessly to end the threat to homes.

We wanted to ease concerns from residents over a possible rekindling of the #wildfire near South Fork HS. While there are flames that have appeared, they have been located ”in the black”. Vegetation on #fire there is not a concern because the “fuel” around it has burned away.

Here’s a firsthand look at what it’s like to be a #firefighter at a vehicle #fire . Our crews responded to Monroe St & SE Federal Highway in Stuart at 8:30 am to find the #car on the side of the road, 50% involved. Thankfully, the driver was able to escape the vehicle unharmed

Crews from Station 24 responded to the 24000 block of 95th Street in Indiantown just before 1:30 am for a structure #fire call. #Firefighters found a roughly 30ft x 60ft barn on the property, fully involved with injured animals. Crews quickly got water on the structure.

All SB lanes of I-95 at 95 mm in Hobe Sound are closed as the driver of a truck is being airlifted to the hospital. The driver reportedly lost consciousness & crashed, suffering serious injuries. 2 passengers had non-life threatening injuries. Unknown object struck the vehicle.

Our crews rushed to Dahoon Terrace in Jensen Beach this morning after a homeowner called 9-11. A propane tank went up in flames, spreading to the roof. The home is a total loss, but thankfully, the occupant made it out unharmed. The State Fire Marshal is investigating.

All southbound lanes of the Turnpike are closed after a 2 car crash near the 136 mile marker in Palm City. 1 vehicle rolled onto its side, and 1 victim was trapped inside. Multiple crews are on scene. Avoid area, if possible. Use caution if traveling nearby.

Crews rushed to the 2000 block of Kanner Hwy in Stuart at 9 am for an SUV crashed into a condo. 2 home occupants escaped unhurt. 2 vehicle occupants were hurt; 1 w/serious injuries & another w/non-life threatening. The building was evacuated for inspection by an engineer.

🚨Road Closures, Shelter in Place due to Gas Leak in Palm City🚨 Traffic is closed from the Turnpike to Citrus Blvd after a gas line was struck during construction in the area of Bruner Terrace. A gas line of unknown size was struck by an auger while digging.

UPDATE: Our last crew left Squire John’s Lane in Palm City. We learned the homeowner’s young son smelled smoke & notified his family, helping them escape. Neighbors quickly called 911, prompting our response. Thankfully, no one was hurt. State Fire Marshal is investigating.
