Raise your hand if youβre willing leave the house 3 minutes earlier for your commute if it means downtown Milwaukee is connected and thriving! ππΌββοΈππΌββοΈππΌββοΈ

I have to say, as a complete outsider, I have never seen a city do it like Milwaukee. Everything they do seems to be unique, innovative, and well intentioned⦠And in the end, successful (yes, even that stupid flag)

We are trying! We have a real opportunity to carve out a path to be a leader what a climate conscious city of the future could look like.
I just want underutilized highways in our downtown to be torn down!

Because somehow downtown Milwaukee is *not* thriving presently? I think some of you need to engage with folks from other metros. They have stories to tell of their downtowns the past few years, and it ainβt good. MKE is doing great.

I'm not a person that settles for the status quo. We can and should think bigger and better. There's a VERY bright future in front of Milwaukee, and I'm excited to help push it to realize every opportunity.

I worked in the 411 Wisconsin building during the entire rebuild of the Marquette Interchange and it never slowed my commute at all. Not even a little. We just had to shoot out Clybourn to get on the highway no big deal.

Donβt understand how anyone could be against this. What is the main argument besides a slightly longer commute for those taking 794 THROUGH the city not TO the city?

Has anyone considered closing the stretch for a week or 2 and seeing the impact? All for this project and if adv notice was given, and it truly only adds 3-5 min, it could ease a lot of worries
