Dubs are neither inherently good nor inherently bad. To dismiss OR defend all dubs under a blanket is to do a disservice, in both directions, to the variety of teams making choices about how to handle them. No media product is doomed to mediocrity by the nature of its medium.

here's a voice acting tip i never see anyone say: if you wanna be a voice actor, take care of your dental health!! dental procedures can put you out of commission for a while and you could potentially miss a role or important audition, so try to prevent them where you can!

This is a pretty common fix in dubs! When we notice that the wrong character is “flapping”, the conversation will be split up between both characters to convey all info with both characters talking. There’s moments like this in B’t X and Actors: Songs Connection too.

Not uncommon for the JP audio of anime to have mismatched lip flaps. However in ep4 of Baccano there's a bit where Isaac has dialogue but his mouth is closed while Miria's is moving, giving the feeling that his voice is coming from her body. The dub gave Miria an extra line there

Fun fact about this scene: Almost everything Deadpool says, and how he says it, was improv’d by @Takahata101 in one long string. I think we had maybe 15 minutes worth of options of things he could say both before and after firing the gun. 😂
