@theinkubus @Dylan_Macri This says 2011 but i would say this was an early 2000s trend. You see artists like Jim Lee on Batman, mcniven on old man Logan and more move towards this militarization of comic book suits. I would say the trend starts at dark knight returns and moves forward

@Castlecomics11 Definitely valid, i think the critique is more of a focus on the idea that overtly rendering highly detailed suits and costumes in comics forces more time and stress on the individual artist vs traditional cartooning.

Comic making tip: if you draw and color your own work, get yourself a flatter. I’m working technoknights and that’s a 60 page book having to draw all of it and then go back and color of it ? Makes it a 120 page project. Hiring a flatter is life changing
