Hobbes went to his final rest yesterday, quietly & gently. His tremendous spirit was let down by his poor body. Far too soon. Dogs are wonderful. He was extraordinary. He will be missed terribly by his family. And all those whose days he brightened in some way. #HobbesForever

It gives me great pleasure to introduce the newest member of our family. Meet ‘Pippin’. “A fool of a Took!” We were looking for a dog that would remind us of Hobbes, but would also be different enough. Hobbes was a Cockapoo. This guy is all Cock. (Mostly?) 😂 And he’s beautiful.

Hobbes is not well. While he recovers, we’ll go for gentle walks at sunrise as usual, but I’ll not be posting any pictures of him for a wee while. Please, please encourage people to dispose of ALL their rubbish from parks & beaches. It’s not doing the wildlife any favours. 😔

When Hobbes passed away, I was completely overwhelmed by all the stories that poured in along with the condolences. Stories of loss & how Hobbes had somehow helped. Now… stories are pouring in of new hope & joy. It’s quite something. Thank you. #hobbesforever

It’s my Birthday today. And it’s a BIG one! 🎉 But I don’t feel old? I adore my life. Am loved. Have my health. My family are thriving. We have wonderful home in a beautiful place. Dream job. I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to. And I feel like I’m only getting started! ☺️🎉
