Today, we mark the 50th #anniversary of our first container vessel, Svendborg Mærsk, joining our fleet in 1974🎉 Its name references the hometown of our founding family, and the first steamship to join the fleet in 1904. Svendborg Mærsk was divested in 1999. #MaerskHeritage

Maersk & @DSGCoalition are taking a step towards the decarbonization of ocean shipping. Using up to 20% sustainable second–generation biofuels, a triple-E ocean vessel will sail from Rotterdam to Shanghai and back on biofuel blends alone, a world’s first!
