Effective in the 2023-24 School Year, this spring sport will have a one-class championship May 26 - June 1, 2024. All member schools have the opportunity to register for Boys Volleyball🏐
Dr. Jennifer Rukstad has been named MSHSAA’s seventh Executive Director, to begin in late June following the retirement of current Executive Director, Dr. Kerwin Urhahn.
The girls raised money to get their favorite student manager/coach his own letterman jacket. Today, they drove by Ethan’s house to give it to him and say hi!

Liberty High School girls finish the basketball season undefeated! They are the 1-seed in their district! Good luck and congrats on a great regular season! They went 10-0 in conference and clinched the Suburban Conference Red Division Championship!

Only three football teams in MSHSAA history have rushed for more than 5,468 yards in an entire season. This Saturday, every state Cross Country contestant will run farther than that. Of course, they won’t have anyone trying to tackle them either.

Congratulations to Head Coach Ryan Stegall for being named the 2022-23 Baseball Coach of the Year! The teams final four trip in '22 saw them win their first Baseball title, the Championship win in '23 was the schools first back to back Championship in any sport.

Had the opportunity last week to watch Howard Christian officiate his last regular season game in his hometown of California. Howard has been officiating for 50 years! Another special moment included him officiating the varsity boys game with his two brothers.
Every year MSHSAA recognizes individuals who have made life long contributions to high school activities. Rod Smith’s coverage of local high school sports and activities is considered some of the best in the Midwest!
In only their second Show-Me Bowl appearance (first was in 2011 where they picked up their first State title), the Staley Falcons pick up their second MSHSAA Football State title, defeating the Pattonville Pirates, 36-35!

After serving as the MSHSAA Executive Director for 16 years Dr. Kerwin Urhahn announces his retirement. Dr. Urhahn served as the associations sixth Executive Director since the association came into existence in 1926.
Keith Sampson and Mark Mills have been the voices of the MSHSAA State Wrestling Championships for at least 4 decades, it's individuals like these that help make this event such a success. Thank you both for your dedication to these athletes and sport!
