Matthew Lofthouse graduates this week and has had a unique journey. After being diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome and struggling with mainstream schooling, he came to USW as a mature student to study Photojournalism.

I equalled my best ever Uni grade, an 80 for a 4000-word research essay which I was fearing more than any other assignment beforehand.
I think being stuck in a lockdown with just my laptop actually helped me and I'm still buzzing about that grade now! :)

By making the room light-proof then opening a little hole the size of a 5p the world outside was cast onto the walls inside. This optical phenomenon led to the invention of photography. 📷
