4/7 6PM Multiple TPD units responded to
#MBTA
Back Bay for report of a person armed w/a long rifle. Officers located a person in character as "Boba Fett" w/a replica firearm. Officers conversed with the individual & the scene was safe.
4/10 12:15AM Fitchburg Line between Cambridge & Belmont unknown person/s left a boat on the right of way. An
#MBTA
commuter rail train did strike the boat. No injuries were reported & no damage to train. TPD Detectives to follow up.
12/1 at approximately 5PM a TPD officer responded to a disturbance on an
#MBTA
bus at Jackson Sq. A 56 year old male had his pet rat sitting on his shoulder. Other riders felt unsafe&exited. The officer explained the policy re:animals on T. The male/rat had to be escorted off.
UPDATE: Our Twitter followers are the BEST !!!! A short while ago Transit Police Detectives tracked down the offender in Downtown Boston and placed LUIS SALINAS, 33, into custody for Attempted Rape.

9/23 just after midnight a 40y/o from Malden kicked the fare gate out at

Park Street Station. Based on a description a very dedicated TPD officer observed subject at 6AM at the entrance to station. Subject also had a warrant for A&B on a Police Officer. Transported to TPDHQ
Transit Police K9 "OO'Neil" who served the citizens of Massachusetts with distinction from 2005 thru 2016 passed away last night. R.I.P OO'Neil you will be missed !
Sad day for the TPD. Our bomb detection K9 Dante, who served the citizens of our great commonwealth for nearly a decade, passed away today. Dante you will be missed but never forgotten.

1:30pm this afternoon Alewife parking garage 5th level. The motorist’s actions were intentional. No further information to be released at this time. Station to remain closed and service between Alewife/Davis suspended. Buses will replace service until station reopens.

"Rat" it again !! 57 y/o Boston man well known to TPD for causing disturbances w/his pet rat was arrested at

Oak Grove on 3/16 4PM for threatening folks w/his rat. He also was consuming alcohol/being disorderly/refused the leave. Jerry the Rat was turned over to AC.

9/21 11PM several juvenile males onboard an
#MBTA
RL train near JFK were harassing, threatening to rob passengers & taunting individuals allegedly based on their ethnicity. Juveniles smashed out train window & fled. TPD Detectives actively investigating. Charges will be sought.
While most are w/their families/friends enjoying Christmas Eve the women and men of the Transit Police are underground patrolling the MBTA maintaining the safest system in recorded history ! Thank you for your sacrifice 👍👍

Some “protesters” have tried to cause extreme harm to our officers and did cause damage to our cruisers. TPD officers have conducted themselves with professionalism and were met with violence by a few who have lost all high moral ground.
Yesterday TPD K9 Mikee unexpectedly passed away. Mikee was 10yo & a great asset to our EDU. Mikee’s high drive & his performance were a direct reflection of his & Ofc Gonzalez’s work ethic/professionalism. They were a team since 2004. RIP Mikee.

3/28 2PM at

State Street Sta. a male violently kicked an unsuspecting individual into the pit. After an intense investigation TPD detectives on 3/29 arrested Kedrian Perry Marshall, 23, of Whitman for Attempted Murder. The victim declined medical services/not injured.
Remembering all those effected by the bombings of 5 years ago. And honoring all those 1st responders as well as civilians who stepped up in the face of chaos and crisis.

. A Brother officer was shot in the line of duty. We are praying for him, his family and our brother & sisters of Weymouth PD.
On 1/19 at 3:30PM a Mr.Michael Williams,45 of Boston, walked into South Station & proceeded directly to TPD's substation & smashed our door out w/a hammer. Unfortunately for Williams roll call was in session. Multiple officers immediately came out & arrested Williams.
9/4 5PM A male forgot his phone at a store in Boston. He called his cell & a man answered/demanded 50$ to return/meet him at

Oak Grove. TPD notified/responds/locates subj w/phone. He had several warrants for his arrest Larceny/False Checks ect.he was placed into custody.
Based on the hard work & dedication of the women/men of the Transit Police the
