Hello, World! Meet Charlie 🤗 This is who I’m getting to know better while on maternity leave. He and I are so thankful for your love & support! 💛 I’m already missing delivering the weather on
@CTVToronto
(and all of you!) but happy to still be connecting here. ☀️
Oh hey there! 👋 It’s been a wonderful maternity leave, but I’m excited to share that I’ll be back on
@ctvtoronto
Labour Day Monday. Wishing you all a happy long weekend! ☀️⛈☔️🌈
10 years ago tonight, I had my first on-air shift at The
@weathernetwork
. It was a ‘trial by tornado’ - we were on TV until about 4:00 A.M. tracking storms and tornado warnings. In the end, there were 3 touchdowns around Harrow and Leamington, ON. I’ll never forget it! 🌪
Celebrating an exceptional journalist this week on
@CTVToronto
- our very own Austin Delaney. Congratulations
@AustinCTV
on 34 years with the station! We are really going to miss you, but are so excited for you and your retirement. ☀️
One week later, I’m still feeling all the (good!) feels after receiving my first dose ❤️
Thankful to have been prioritized as a pregnant individual. Amazed by science. Grateful for our hard-working healthcare professionals. Happy to do my part. Hopeful for the future. 💉
Happy Trails to
@RandyCTV
- a CKCO
@CTVKitchener
legend in sports, weather & telling great community stories. Thank you for all you’ve done for our station, and thank you for all you’ve done for me! You’ve been in my corner since day one. I will miss you. 🤗
Believe it or not, that's the Toronto skyline somewhere in there. Smoke from wildfires has blanketed the city. Footage is from our
@CTVToronto
news chopper at Noon Tuesday.

Just “strolling” through what’s left of winter! ❄️🌲⛸ Making the most of it before meteorological spring arrives in only 3 days (But who’s counting, right? 😉🌷)
@ArroPark
📍
You know it was a wild night of weather when thunderstorms wake you up more often than your newborn baby does 😵💫🤪 Good morning, everyone! Coffee? ☕️🥱

It’s my last week at ctvkitchener and I’m taking in every moment! 💗Check out my stories for a little “day in the life” of a weather specialist 👆🏻🌤 (PS: I might never be on the side of a building again, so don’t mind…
A huge congratulations to my talented colleague
@JessSmithCP24
! Viewers, you can look forward to this friendly and familiar face bringing you the forecast on
@CTVToronto
. A big win for us all! 🤗
Stepping into a new month with a new role! Ya girl is moving to prime time Monday to Friday on
@CTVToronto
to cover the parental leave for the amazing
@Lyndsay_CTV
! See you all Monday!
Thought this was kind of neat. Same tree, taken on the same date - one year apart. Safe to say colour change & leaf fall is a little different this year in the GTA! Have you noticed that in your neighborhood? 🍁🍂🍃
"The trouble is, you think you have time."
That song played on the radio during my long drive to a funeral yesterday - the funeral of someone who should have had many years left to live. So I'm passing on that little reminder to make each day count.
Happy Thursday 😊💛
Unpopular opinion, probably - but I often find April harder to get through than January. In January, we KNOW it’s winter! We accept it. In April, we begin with such hope and promise for spring! And then nope. 😛

A big thank you to all the lineworkers and hydro crews who pulled an all-nighter getting Ontario back on the grid. Thinking of those still without power this morning and/or dealing with damage to their properties. A scary start to severe weather season for many.

Just want to pass on my thanks to everyone wishing me congratulations on receiving the Order of Ontario! It's quite an honour and I appreciate your kind words! I want to congratulate the other 24 Ontarians who were also given this wonderful recognition! All the best in 2024!
Questions I seem to ask myself on or around this date every year:
Why does July go by so fast? How come January never goes by as fast as July? 🤔📅

At this time of year, those of us who work on an evening newscast love to express that “it’s still light out!” when we start the show. Here’s tonight’s view in Kitchener at 6:00 pm. Days are getting longer!
Woke up still thinking about all those people - simply out on a sunny day. Thinking about their families & friends. Thinking about first responders and journalists on the scene, who likely saw some very difficult things. You'll be in my thoughts all day again, Toronto. ❤️
We may not be at the cottage, but tonight my husband made hotdogs for dinner and we sang campfire songs in our living room, so ... things are all right around here 🤗 Happy May Long! 💛

This is a big one! So proud of my friend and her decision. Please join us on
@CTVKitchener
this week to celebrate Meghan’s time with our station and thank her for her contributions to our community. (Meanwhile, I’ll do my best to keep it together over here ... 😭/🤗)
Some personal news to share ... this will be my last week
@CTVKitchener
. THANK YOU for an incredible 10 years, I’ve been honoured to sit on this desk every night. I’m excited to begin a new chapter and be home for dinner with my little family 💕 📺
Not going to lie - still struggling to enjoy this game after that horrifying moment on the ice. Sending love and prayers to JT and his family 💙

! ❄️🌞Today is the shortest day of the year, and the astronomical season officially begins at 11:28 a.m. In fitting fashion, we have snow arriving for today / tomorrow, followed by a very cold end to December! 🌨☃️
My husband just returned home after attempting his morning commute on the 401. He saw dozens of cars stalled, in ditches or crashed into snow banks. People were outside their vehicles trying to help others. He said he’s never seen anything like it in the city. STAY SAFE!
