Being a scorer does not mean being a winner. Coaches want winners above all else! Winners win in the classroom, weight room, etc. College coaches don’t get to keep their job because you led in scoring in a loss. They keep their job because you do whatever it takes to win!

Game the night before finished at 10:30pm Up at 4am to catch a bus to Houston. Unable to check into our hotel upon arrival. Game delayed an hour and a half. True road game. Secured the win against a really good team. Champions use adversity as opportunities, not excuses.

For 3 straight years we’ve had players on scholarship get season ending injuries in the summer and we still honored their scholarship even though they would never play for us. If we’re truly about developing men, playing time is secondary. Coaching them in life is primary!
