Cammy by Kinu Nishimura. Considering she's been drawing Street Fighter characters over a quarter century, this is a relatively recent piece she illustrated a few years ago.
How about celebrating some female video game artists today? Here's:
Kinu Nishimura (Street Fighter)
Tomoko Imura (Soul Calibur)
Mari Shimazaki (Bayonetta)
Ayami Kojima (Castlevania)
The backs of the UDON X Capcom Sketchbooks feature logo-free "virgin" versions of the same Omar Dogan artwork on the covers, if you'd prefer to display them that way.
Pre-order here:
An art history of Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, and general SNK fame. Lots more appearances beyond this, but I think I got most of the big ones that feature 2D artwork.
Yusuke Murata (
@NEBU_KURO
) is one of several artists who did tribute pieces in the Darkstalkers: Official Complete Works art book. You can pre-order the hardcover edition now!
#Darkstalkers25
Street Fighter 25th anniversary tribute art by Korean artist Hyung-Tae Kim.
HTK has been a favorite of a lot of other artists I have known both at Dreamwave Productions and UDON.
Can you think of a more perfect IP matchup than X-men and Street Fighter?
International roster characters, colorful designs, a variety of powers. And both were reinvented and hit the height of their popularity at the exact same time.
A history of Zero character art. Very cool to see the gradation through all his Mega Man X designs. The different design from Zero's own games didn't really change at all, due I'm sure to them all being by the same artist.
Experiment! This may RIP my mentions but - Looking for a few new artists to fill some dropout slots in our next Street Fighter Swimsuit Special. If you'd like to be considered, reply with a link to your portfolio (deviantart, artstation, instagram, website, etc).
Sakura artwork UDON commissioned from Capcom's Edayan (known for Rival Schools and also some Street Fighter work). It was intended to be a cover for the Street Fighter Legends: Sakura series, but ended up only getting used for promotion.
One of the coolest pieces of official art from the original Marvel VS Capcom - the cast drawn as Mega Man robots. This was done for the Capcom Secret File series. Illustrated by Bengus.
