Dear fellow type-1 diabetics- How do you explain the way you feel during extreme hyperglycaemic or hypoglycaemic situations to your loved ones? Would love to know!

I’m looking for a room in an already set up 2/3/4 BHK in Bangalore. Can move in by August first week. Any area in South or East Bangalore works (preferably close to a metro station).
Any people with

P.S.
@BlueTokaiCoffee
serves great coffee!

4 of 5 stars to Dr. Bernstein’s Diabetes Solution. I learnt more about type-1 diabetes from this book than everything I have read and heard in the last 15 years as a type-1 diabetic; the book gives you hope 🌸
Thanks for the recommendation

Food for thought: All of this due to something which has not even been strictly classified as a living organism. But in our heads there's this small evil guy who's the enemy and giving quite a fight right now. We can get through this. 💪

If you’re sitting with someone at the lunch table, I feel scrolling on Instagram is the rudest thing you can do to the other person. If you don’t feel like talking to anyone, sit quietly and eat - it’s a better option than trying to “socialise” on Instagram (or any other app)
I wanted to grind

beans in a cafe in Eindhoven, the barista saw it and was so overwhelmed because she was in India for a year and it was her favourite coffee. We chatted about it and I gave her some of my beans. Coffee doing its thing as always. ❤️☕️
Surprised at the audacity with which people proclaim that returning to India to work as a biotech scientist qualifies as “cheap labour”!
It’s crazy how many people go through life hating their job, doing it just for💰and putting down people who look for meaning in their work.
It’s incredible how Twitter and WhatsApp groups are working for addressing COVID crisis in India 🙌
Of course, that’s only for a fraction of the existing issues, but it’s still commendable. Let’s fight this 💪
I told my friend I’m hungry and the next moment twitter ad goes like- “Feeling hungry all the time? May be it’s time to change your diet! Here’s a list of recipes..”😤
Quarantine lesson:
I've learnt to distinguish between soup issues and soul issues. Focusing on the soup issues will make you restless and anxious, while working on the soul issues will make you feel satisfied and grounded.
This is a tiny step I have taken to help the countless type-1 diabetics who've wanted to ask and answer questions Let me know your views and ideas :)

On World Book Day, I would like to ask all the readers out there: Which was the last book that you just couldn't stop reading?
For me it was When Breath Becomes Air by

At TU/e we try to save the environment by using our own mugs even for the coffee machine, which automatically detects your mug. But guess what- I have a black coloured mug and it doesn't detect that :O

I’m looking for a studio/1 BHK preferably around indiranagar metro station. I’m also ok with moving in as a flatmate in an already set up 2/3/4 BHK house. Do you magic Twitter ✨
If you're, let's say, a "coffee nerd" who uses a V60/French press/Siphon et al. to make your daily coffee, this video is for you.

Any endocrinologist/diabetologist out there who can provide me with information on complications that arise in type-1 diabetics who get COVID-19? Looking for some stats and research articles explaining the physiological implications in the worst case scenarios. Thanks 🙏

When you are stuck in a negative loop of thoughts, it is very important to break the pattern. However, if the same happens with a constructive thought, it leads to creation of something wonderful. Wisdom is to know when to break the pattern and when to dive into it.
I’m going to consciously try and avoid ordering stuff online.
But sometimes if I’ve to travel the same distance as the delivery person to go get the item AND if the item is much cheaper online, I reconsider it.
Trying to find a middle ground-cheap AND sustainable 😶

Work, cook, clean, paint, do some yoga, make bookmarks, take care of yourself, take care of your plants, read, watch tv, video call family/friends but STAY AT HOME.
I have it. Don’t sleep on this thing people. I’m a very healthy type I diabetic. My body is fighting it very well but it’s kicking my ass. Don’t be a moron. Stay home!
Today I was unlocking my bike from the tree when my neighbour (with whom I had never interacted before) called me in for some fresh fruit from her tree in the front yard. We spoke like two 78 year old ladies who have nowhere to go for the day. I am going to miss the Netherlands.
It’s a solar eclipse today and apparently one shouldn’t cook during this period.
So we are making pizza for lunch.

As a conclusion from the lockdown cooking sessions, I think I prefer inventing recipes over following the traditional recipes- mostly for the variable rewards 😆
