Today I introduced a motion at Welsh Lib dems conference calling for action to stop sewage dumping in Welsh rivers. The River Wye is in danger of being declared biologically dead within 2 years. In 2020 there were 105,000 reported incidents of sewage dumping in Welsh rivers.

A market-led solution will not solve the U.K’s housing crisis. A better planning system may improve the number of houses delivered by “the market” but we need the state to build affordable houses/flats as it did after WW2 via local government.
