4 straight AFC championship games at home. 2-2 in them. 2 Super Bowls. 1-1 in them. Most franchises would die for that. But it seems pretty empty right now.

In honor of the
@TedLasso
series finale... Here's a letter a young
@jasonsudeikis
sent me after participating in Prep Cam at NewsChannel 4, now
@fox4kc
, back in 1993. This sat in a box in my closet until a couple of years ago when I stumbled upon it. It's a nice keepsake now.
Sometimes we like to tease weather folks in KC... BUT... on days like today our local TV meteorologists provide an important service... they, along with the pilots, photogs and anchors were NAILS... don’t want to single anyone out. I watched them all. I just want to say “Thanks!”
I don’t tweet a lot of personal stuff... BUT... when your wife
@DeniseLeabo
finishes her 29th (and last) year of teaching in
@LSR7
, I need to let everyone know how proud I am of her for being a positive influence on so many kids throughout her career. Congrats!
In today’s loss KC: dropped a punt inside their 5, had a FG & PAT, blew a fake FG, had a dropped TD by Pro Bowl TE, allowed go-ahead drive to continue when Pro Bowl DT picked up unsportsmanlike conduct flag following a sack that would’ve set up a 4th and 14. They deserved the L.
OK, the refs… the defensive holding call was marginal… BUT, no more marginal than the catch/fumble/TD overturn or Dallas Goedert “catch”. Everyone has to deal with calls.
We came to Des Moines to sing “Happy Birthday” to my Grandma Jean on her 100th birthday. We had to sing through the glass because of covid safety protocols, but it was great to get to see her on such an amazing milestone.
Bruce Weber talking about his tenure and doing it the right way. He mentioned that he wasn’t going to cut his hair until something happens to someone caught up in the FBI stuff. That’s why his hair looks this way.
We had a fun night celebrating 100 years of WHB. Honoring
@SSJWHB
and
@nate_bukaty
for all of their charitable work was one of my favorite moments. These guys walk the walk for our city.
I lost one of my best friends to suicide four years ago. No matter how close you are to someone, you likely don't know what they're really going through. If you're struggling, ask for help.... if you know someone who's struggling, offer help.

Just left
@QuikTrip
in LSMO... saw one of the greatest purchases ever. Carton of smokes, 18-pack of beer, big bag of beef jerky and gallon of milk

No pictures from what I saw in the Arrowhead parking lot as I walked to my car… BUT… There was a Vikings fan who had poop on her pants trying to get into a Johnny-On-The-Spot and a middle-aged Chiefs couple passionately kissing on a truck tailgate. That pretty much sums it up.
This entire process, from the beginning, which is YEARS ago has been a mess. There's plenty of blame to go around, from to the teams to the Jackson County Government infighting. The people have spoken. Back to the drawing board.
The difference between a winning parking lot and a losing parking lot after the AFC Championship Game.... the fire still burns.

It may be a small thing... but props to
@fox4wx
for not putting the weather graphic in the corner during the World Series tonight. It didn’t go unnoticed by me.
I got to cut my teeth covering Marty Schottenheimer’s Chiefs teams. He was a great coach and leader for the franchise. His teams turned Arrowhead Stadium into a special place. He was good enough to make a Super Bowl, the stars just never lined up for him. RIP Marty 🏈
Reid says Mahomes got hit in the back of the head and got the wind knocked out of him. Reid says he's passed all the deals he needed to pass. Never mentioned the word concussion in his opening remarks after the win.
Christa was one of the most-dedicated workers we’ve ever had at

There’s no nicer person I’ve met in sports media than Blair… Keep up the good fight! 💪🙏🏼 Blair Kerkhoff: A leukemia diagnosis means this year’s present is the gift of life
Thanks to all the folks who came out this afternoon to celebrate our 20th anniversary on
@SportsRadio810
. We’ve been fortunate to have so many wonderful co-workers, listeners and sponsors over the years. It was great to see so many of you today.
RIP Otis Taylor. My love of sports was enhanced when I would buy books like this at the scholastic book fair in elementary school. This picture was ingrained in my mind for years. Otis was a kind soul. It was an honor to meet and interview him so many years ago.
