I would encourage despondent Iowa Democrats to look at what happened in Kansas. Republicans used their trifecta to pass massive tax cuts, destroying the state budget. Ds won the governorship in 2018 and Kelly's been re-elected. Iowa's state budget will be a shambles by 2026.

My former neighbors were educated in Catholic schools and planned same for their kids. First two went through Catholic schools K-12, but when their youngest had a learning disability, the school they'd long supported refused to meet his needs. They moved him to a public school.
