Just shameful. We estimate there are 88,000 allies and family members in the Special Immigrant Visa application process. 2,000 is just a drop in the bucket. If that’s the best we can do, it will be a permanent stain on our nation’s reputation.

Great news: for the first time since 2016, the U.S. Refugee Admissions program resettled more than 10,000 people in a month, reaching a pace consistent with @POTUS ' goal of welcoming 125,000 refugees. Encouraging to see an orderly humanitarian pathway come off of life support.

This #SCOTUS decision is personal. My family is Sri Lankan Tamil and fled persecution. My heart breaks for this man, whose "mistake" was seeking protection at a time when our laws are abused to send people back into danger, rather than used to uphold our highest ideals of refuge.
