I am honoured to be appointed by President Mnangagwa as Zimbabwe’s Minister of Youth, Sports, Art and Recreation. I will continue to carry our Flag with pride and dedication of service so we can come together and take Zimbabwe forward.
God bless you and God bless Zimbabwe.

🇿🇼 This is what happens when a team comes together. This win is made even more special as it was in honour of the families affected by cyclone Idai. I am so proud of our men, we are all so proud of our men. ❤️

Imagine if I lost a race and never did anything about it except complain and blame others. Use your losses to come back bigger, stronger and more fired up to win. Own it.🔥

We all know that the stadiums in Zimbabwe have been deteriorating for ages but it is now my responsibility to make sure we fix this mess. Overnight solutions will not work but know that I am on it.
I will keep you posted so don’t listen to other nonsense out there.
What has happened in Zimbabwe has saddened me immensely. I am sorry to everyone that has been affected by the recent events. Violence is never the answer and needs to be investigated and actions taken. We need peace so no one else suffers and we can rebuild our nation together.
It’s happening Zimbabwe. National Sports Stadium still has some work to do but our Athletes (and fans of course!) will have a better home. Update from Bulawayo coming soon. 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼
I have just been appointed Chairperson of the Senegal Youth Olympic Games Coordination Commission 2022. This means I will be working even more closely with our Senegal family to create a successful African Olympics.

I believe I was appointed because of my experience (of which I still have a lot to learn) but also because of my Independence and Integrity. This is extremely important for me to maintain if I am to get the results that is expected of me.

There will be short term pain but this is necessary to build a strong foundation that has a long term positive impact. This is necessary to achieve an upper middle income country by 2030. I will be counting on you for your support so when I stand up, you stand up with me. 🥇🥇
I'd like to make it clear that I have not resigned as Minister. Whatever the problems, sport can and should be part of the solution and I will pour my energies into uplifting our Youth, Sports and Arts, until I can no longer be effective and make the impact we need in our country.
This morning on the way to Mutare, my husband and I paid tribute to the 50 people who died in the terrible bus accident this week. This is an horrific reminder for anyone who drives, to be safe and responsible.
I had an amazing chat with
@BrendanTaylor86
to send congratulations to our cricket team. They are so pumped and they should be! Its important that all our athletes, like our artists and musicians, have the best environment so they can perform at their ultimate! Working on it...
Donata is making things happen. She just won her 2nd Gold at Junior African Champs. Stay focused, make sure you have the right people around you, and keep pushing.🥇🥇
Donata Katai!!! Remember the name!!!
Donata beat the legendary

📣Good news: It has been agreed that ownership + operations of the National Sports Stadium in Zimbabwe will be transferred to Ministry of Youth, Sport, Art and Recreation. We have the experience + passion to use this opportunity for Zimbabwe to become a sporting powerhouse.

Athletes focus on what is in their control. The moment an Athlete starts worrying about things outside their lane, they will not get the results they want. There will always be external pressures, stay in your lane and do what you do.

Zimbabwe is at risk of losing half its youth to codeine cough syrup addiction.
Despite the growing problem, the government has not yet opened rehabilitation clinics. We find out why cough syrup has become Zimbabwe's drug of choice.
Just got onto Twitter and seen all the support for our Netball ladies. Since meeting the Zimbabwe Team in November, they have made strides on and off the court. I committed my help to their World Cup last year and this hasn't changed.
I've always had a passion for collecting African Art, this was a nice surprise when I popped into the National Gallery in Harare. The Art world is a massive industry and I believe can add, in a big way, to a country's economy.

Listening to our legend, Oliver Mtukudzi, on the way to work this morning. One of the last conversations I had with him was about Zimbabwe’s National Identity and how our Art in all its forms would elevate who we are. We shared many things. Miss you Tuku.
