News from Quebec:
I just confirmed with Sherbrooke police that a husband and wife were fined for walking after curfew with the man on a leash. The officer told me her defense was she is allowed to walk a dog after curfew.
They were fined $1500 each.

Eagle-eyed viewers tonight might notice a missing Stanley Cup in the trophy case at the Bell Centre. Apparently the Travis Scott concert on Tuesday has such strong bass three of them fell and one was damaged. Security told me that’s a first.
I want to thank
@mccallumlauren
publicly. After being informed of what was happening at CTV, I arrived late & emotional to a presser. She saw the look on my face & immediately helped me prepare for my 12 live. We might not work for the same companies, but we have the same goals.
After the 1st period I asked Slafkovsky about being worried Matheson stole his goal (initially credited to Mike). It turns out he had a lot more to give.

On a personal note: this was my first time covering a Cup Final. While it didn’t turn out the way many hoped, I dreamed about doing this since I was a kid.

It’s Game Day. I’ll be at the Bell Centre tonight. I’ve dreamed about covering the Habs winning a Stanley Cup since I was a kid. It’s an odd feeling… I’m excited but also scared. I hope it will live up to what I always hoped both personally and professionally. Hard to explain.
Nick Suzuki is one goal behind Cole Caufield for most goals on the Habs this season. I asked him if Cole should be worried about his record. His response:

It’s 5:15 AM and I’m lying awake in bed. In the whirlwind of covering the crowds at the Bell Centre last night I didn’t truly absorb the news the Habs are in the Cup final. It’s only sinking in now. Wow. What a night. What a team.
