Joel's gaze does not go into the void, but meets Abby's. They kind of target each other. Older Ellie, with a burning desire for revenge in her chest (Abby), actually only faces herself as an opponent. The young, innocent version is avoiding that gaze, looking at the viewer. 🖤🔥

Not only do the regular key artworks belong together and have mirrored compositions, the special editions also have these features. The Steelbook for example: they go in together, she comes out alone... Fantastic collaboration and art direction. I love this studio. ❤️🐾

A painting that I created in my free time over several months. Miura's passing hit me harder than I thought. Spent a lot of time on the indirect lighting, anatomy, perspective & fantastical elements to get the small details right. Never worked harder on a digital drawing I think.
