You will be in minority on that trailer, but you do you. I do suspect that you have some preconceived opinions about the series that might be clouding your view of that trailer.

What an unbelievable performance by Rocklin's defense tonight. Just superb! Before tonight St. Marys scored less than 38 once, and it was 24point loss against DLS. Rocklin has held this team to 6 points! Just an amazing performance, best of playoffs!
@RocklinFootball
RICKY COLE
@Inderkum_FB
Leader of the super charged Inderkum offense. He has a lot of weapons and makes good use of them. He has 2382 yards passing with 48 TD’s to 4INT, with another 11TDs rushing with 645 yards. He still has his senior year to look forward to.
@tennessee6996
@cameronsalerno1
The irony is that at the end of the season the Kings will miss the playoffs by one game. As a Kings fan I don't know if I would laugh or cry, but the seems about right.
What an AMAZING game by Grant! Talk about dominate. This was the most impressive win and play of the playoffs so far. Can't see how in the world a team is going to stop them from a repeat! Congrats
@grant_union
JOHN KOETT
@vistaeagles
He along with Matt Long have led a very dangerous Vista Del Lago team to what could be a very possible state Championship. He is a great leader throwing 33 TDs to just 3INT. Can make any throw. Amazing year to be sure.
RJ WHITTEN
@FolsomBulldogFB
One of the best of the area, and when tested it is regretted. Super hard working and almost around the ball. Can cover anyone and has excellent hands and one of the best returners. Very dangerous man!
@CoachE916
@BaronTaylor_
Hey Coach, your team played a hell of a game tonight. I wanted to write and apologize to you and Baron Taylor, he more than deserves to be on that list I made. I'm sorry. Nothing but respect to you and your very talented players. They were awesome tonight

JADEN ANDERSON
@ORHS_Football
Jaden has 798 yards receiving and 9 TD’s for OR. He is a sure handed tall skinny kid with speed (also plays basketball). His super power is leaping in the air and catching the ball high. He is a big reason for OR football’s success this year.
@JoshDubowAP
Carr had a lower passing rating than Jimmy G this week. Saints have a better D and team that carried Carr. Plus as Raider fans know, this is peak Carr right now. He gets worse as the season goes on, especially in November/December. Saints are going to have buyers remorse on this.

DB's
This is one of the most difficult categories because good CB's don't get targeted, so lack of opportunities leads to lack of stats. However, below (in comments) is the list I came up with as the best of the area. Congrats!
True Freshman Rico Flores had over 100 yards receiving for Notre Dame today! Just wait to this guy's sophomore year, he is on to great things!
@FolsomBulldogFB
@lil_reek_
CAMDEN KING & MATT LONG
@VistaFB
King and Long are the best DB duo in the area. King has 6 picks and Long 5, Vista has made a jump because their defense was able to improve from the year before. This duo is a huge reason for that.
WAYSHAWN PARKER
@grant_union
Wayshawn is a violent and explosive runner. It is no mistake that he has a 14.5 YPC average, even if you catch him he's not easy to bring down. He is 2nd to Nathan Crawford in yards, but Parker missed 2 games (3 really). Played huge in the MT game.

HSF Takeaways
- Vista Del Lago is rolling and I think this very likely ends with a state championship. The combo they have with Long and Koett is VERY special. Enjoy it Vista fans!
- Rio Americano is still having a stand out year, they just got run over by a special Vista team.
THEO GRUELE
@FolsomBulldogFB
Theo is a starter on both lines for Folsom and is the best two way lineman in the area, I don’t think many can argue with that. Even though his defensive sack numbers are not huge, his QB hurries is and is often the one with the double team.
RYDER LYONS
@FolsomBulldogFB
Lyons has the most weapons on offense, but played hands down the toughest schedule and that is not even close. Threw for 32TDs, and used his legs to get 14 TDs while converting countless 3rd and 4th downs. And to think he is just a sophomore.
@TimMaxwell22
The Kings improvement lie on Murray and in a smaller sense Mitchell. If the young players develop, then the impact will be big. Monte placed his bets on this happening. The other outside shot is Sasha outperforming HB and replacing him in the starting line up.
The craziest and most entertaining games I have ever seen! Just wish it ended different.
@SacHornetsFB
thanks for such a fantastic season.

Sac Area Playoff Thoughts by Division (read all comments)
D1 - There's a massive MASSIVE gap between the 5th seed and the rest. Leading to boring round 2 matchups except for the Inderkum v MT game. The semi-final matchup between OR and CC will be one of the best games in D1.
Now I am hoping for NorCal domination in the top four bowls next weekend. Serra and DLS will have to pull major upsets. Folsom and Grant are primed to take care of business. It will make me so happy if NorCal sweeps though. Fingers crossed!
@SacBee_JoeD
@ABCJAMPro
@Chris_Roat
CHRISTIAN HARRIS
@Inderkum_FB
Harris is one of the best CB in the area with 6 INTs now. He also has 4 sacks, 8TFL, and 63 tackles. He also does everything on offense including 87 yards rushing with 2TD, 13 rec for 295 yards and 6TDs, and 2 passing TD’s. Amazing athlete.

GRANT (rushing)
@grant_union
It could be said and be true that Grant has the best RB's in the area. They are also blessed with one of the best Olines too. It is a great advantage to have and they use it to great effect.
Now that the High School football season has come to an official end, I just want to say thank you to

Just saw Cal-High predictions. There is one spot that I'm crossing my fingers that they are dead wrong on. Right now they have Rocklin v Grant. I hate that they pit two Sac area teams against each. Hope it ends swapped with Rocklin v Los Gatos / Grant v El Cerrito.
This is the VERY best Sac State has looked in a LONG time. I LOVE what they are doing at the moment. If they repeat this effort they are going to make some noise in the post season.
@SacBee_JoeD
@JackFreeman_13
@SacHornetsFB
NATHAN CRAWFORD
@12BFootball
The leader in the area in both yards rushing (1591) and TD’s (32). Nathan is the heart of 12 Bridges amazing undefeated season. He is a sturdy bruising style of runner who picks up hard yardage. He played big in the biggest games as well.
@TimMaxwell22
And for the record, I am super happy we did not take the bait and sign/trade for these high priced options. Most of these teams that signed large deals will have buyer remorse once the season starts.
D3
Grant 49. - Woodcreek 14
Woodcreek has had a hell of a season. They were within 5 of Inderkum. They won’t be that close to this well tested Grant team that is determined to repeat.
So happy my prediction was wrong! Tremendous win
@RocklinFootball
, the most impressive performance of the playoffs (so far) in my opinion.
@DerekKeeley2025
and Reeve Sloan were amazing! Hope this is the start to a state finals trip!
ROCKLIN
@RocklinFootball
Rocklin's line has protected their young QB well while springing Keeley open for big gains when they needed it. This solid Oline has played a huge part of this teams wild success this year and may contain one of the most talented Olineman in the area.
I won't argue that it will be an epic game, Rocklin v Grant. However both teams should be able to advance to a State finals by playing the two Bay Area teams (Los Gatos and El Cerrito). This game will needlessly take one of the better teams in the area out before states now.
My Takeaways from Week 4 of high School Football
- Rocklin’s Defense is back in a big way.
- Oak Ridge has had an amazing start to the season.
- Grant’s open schedule is VASTLY improved from last year, and I predict they will see positive dividends from it this playoffs.
KINGSTON LOPA
Lopa does everything for Grant. In addition to being the best S in the area, he has 525 yards and 12TD’s receiving. After winning his second state title in the coming weeks it will be fun to watch him on Saturdays.
HS Football Acknowledgement of Excellence!
QB (See comments)
This area has a ridiculous number of very good QB's, young too. Four have stood out among the field the field.
@TimMaxwell22
He's making a big adjustment to a new league and going from "The Man" to a guy off the bench on this team. I will be way more interested to see how he plays in the 2nd half of the year.
JASEN WOMACK
@ORHS_Football
Womack is only a sophomore, and my gosh he does it all. He rushed for 800+ yards, has almost 250 yards, 60 tackles, 4.5TFL, 2INT, 9PD, 1 FF, and even passed for a TD. Yep, he does just about everything and is an entertaining player to watch.

@IHSTigerSports
It's not that impressive to beat a team like River City 83-0. In fact most see it as unsportsmanlike. If Inderkum scored 83 on Del Oro or Woodcreek then people would talk. Just like I would say Grant's close loss to Oak Ridge was far more impressive than Burbank win.

JEREMIAH Tuiileila
@grant_union
Perhaps the biggest wrecking ball force in the area plays for Grant. He has had 86 tackles, 28 TFL and 18 Sacks and forced 3 fumbles. A big reason why I think Grant is going to repeat as D3 Champs this year.
Looking forward to all the NorCal games this week. I have a feeling 3 Sac area schools will make a finals appearance (wish I could predict 4, but only one of Grant/Rocklin will make it now).
@HondoCarpenter
If he starts Hoyer and the Raiders win, no one will blink an eye if Jimmy comes back next week. If he starts Aiden and they win regardless of how Aiden plays, there is a QB Controversy. They don't want that dogging the team and they want Jimmy G as the starter for the season

I had him on the next tier list along with guys like Reave Sloan of Rocklin, Graves-Mercado from Oak Ridge, Campbell from Casa Roble, and Jackson from West Park. All great QB's but I had to draw a line somewhere. This area is QB rich to say the least.
@CoachLeach3
Grant is for real. That was an amazing game they played against a top notch MT program. Division II playoffs is loaded and Grant has as good of a shot as anyone coming out on top. Congrats on a hard fought game even if fate didn't smile this time.
MATT LONG
@VistaFB
Long can play every position on offense. He plays with speed and he plays with power. He is the complete package. He catches everything, can play RB, and loves the end zone as he has 16TD’s on offense (2 more on defense).
My Takeaways from High School Football this week
- Even leagues regardless of division need to be made. Uber lopsided games are not good for anyone.
- DLS may not be as dominate as they were during the previous 30-40 year stint, but they are still one of the best in NorCal

Offensive Lines
Explainer : I believe the lines is the most important group in football. However there are few stats at the high school level that actually show individual success at the position.
(See comments)
- Still believe the Sac Dream of Folsom, Rocklin, Grant, Vista Del Lago, Casa at state lives on. All 5 teams in all five divisions have a real chance at not only making state but winning. Pretty incredible! (I would say other teams in the area in those divisions have a shot too)
MARKUS HOFFMAN
@ORHS_Football
Hoffman only got to play in 7 games this year, but he wasted no time making an impact. He managed 12.5 sacks, 21.5 TFL, and 49 tackles and 2 forced fumbles in that time forming a tough tandem with Molloy.
I will say this about the art of predicting football games, it is impossible to be right 100% of the time. I went 13-3 in the 16 games I made predictions about, I don't think that is that bad. I predicted the correct score in one. I was within reason in almost all the games....
@SacBee_JoeD
@grant_union
@CIFState
Bummer. Grant had their chances for sure. Losing Alexander was huge. Grant will be back though, tons of young talent on that team.
Takeaways from week 2 of high school football
- I am not very good at calling upsets
- Both Folsom and Grant lost this week, but I think both will be playing in state championship games in December
- I am done underestimating Manteca, they are legit.
- St. Marys D is much better
LONO CHOUTEAU
@Inderkum_FB
Chouteau has a great year with 13TD’s. Maybe an easy mark to make in a high powered Inderkum offense that routed some teams by 80. But Long had 5 of those in Inderkum’s 3 toughest games. He plays big in big moments.
DEREK KEELEY
@RocklinFootball
Aside from 844 yards rushing, 17 rushing TD, 149 yards receiving 2 TD, on offense Keeley has 79 tackles, 5TFL, 3 Sacks, 1 INT on defense for a very successful Rocklin team. Great season!
That was a solid last drive and a great TD pass by Browning. If he gets to play after the Bengals bye, it will be fun to see what he can do.
