They hate us so much, they can't comprehend that we might actually be happy.
Stephen's probably been living his best life longer that that commentor has been alive.
I knew I was different when we still only had 4 channels on TV.
@muchnerve
I literally left a job I'd been in for 10 years & that I loved because of pay. No payrise for over 3 years, not even cost of living increases. Wanted to get a place/start a family and couldn't making less each year.
Toxic environments do make people leave but £/$ is key also.
@ThomasWillett9
The fact that she name searches on here is mad. Can you imagine being that rich with endless possibilities, but to be sat at home, mad at what people are saying about you on twitter.
@TungusBusko
My nose, and indeed my mums nose since that's who I inherited it from, is bigger than that. Besides, do we have to do duck face or get lip fillers to be women now?
You know you've hit a nerve when the reply guys n gals start wading in 😉
Of course they're not even worthy of a reply, they just really hate the light being shined on stuff like this and want revenge 🤷♀️
Suck it up buttercups 🤣
@TheTransWolfYT
I'm constantly 🤔 at all the posts from trans (and othe LGBTQ peeps) that somehow get random terfs in their replies. Like how did you find these tiny accounts to harrass? Why?
@KatyMontgomerie
I'm transitioning in front of about 90 work colleagues that knew the old me for 5+ years, and 80% of them are c*s women.
I've not had a problem with a single one, only support.
They help empower me to continue.
@libisumbrae
@2damntrans
Kinda. She had 2 of 5 bits upheld in her tribunal. Kinda like when she 'won' the other case but with a big list of 'but this doesn't mean you can now do THESE THINGS..' which she has chosen to ignore.
@sullivansa1
@gaytimes
Coincidentally, a lot of these places have a bad LGBTQ track record or treat trans people badly.
I'm sure there's nothing to read into that at all.
Can they just change that with no approval?
Isn't it weird that a tiny account like mine is getting all of these GCs coming in and having a go.
It's almost like they are trying to prove my point 🤷♀️
You don't need to be here unless my statement stings because it's true and you don't like it.
@stephenwhittle
Stephen, there is a 17 year wait list on the NHS GIC I'm assigned too just to get anywhere near 1.
Do we all now have to go private to even stand a chance of getting the right paperwork?
We can't all afford that.
@amy_sargeant_
@abcbrisbane
@radio_austin
It must be so weird for them, lusting after the teen/20 something trans femmes but at the same time inciting a riot against the rest, especially the older non passing trans women 🤷♀️
@AriDrennen
It's unusual for her to attempt this amount of consistent damage control. I think this one has enough ties to her that's she's actually worried something might come of it this time.
@ActualLion
Sorry I can't take you seriously when that's your profile.
And I was a trans kid, age 7/8 in the early 80s. There are hundreds of thousands of us that every day prove you wrong.
You're poison so muting you after this, bye bigot!
@melcalzone
@roun_sa_ville
We peaked about the time the Olympics were held in London. We were riding high economically, human & workers rights were on the up and it was one of the safest times to be LGBTQ or basically any minority/immigrant etc. Then Brexit happened and its shame upon shame since.
@GBBranstetter
We're here now, this is just the beginning and I fear it's only going to get worse.
Those elements of society that hate everything that isn't straight etc are out for blood now, encouraged and made to feel they are in the right.
@speakoutsister
My office is 70% women above the age of 35, lots of them. I've not had a single issue, only support, encouragement & inclusion over the last year. GCs are a loud minority, normal people don't care.
@KatyMontgomerie
I literally had this argument with a semi famous US GC, who said trans kids don't exist. I just told them that can't be true as I was one, so my very existence proves them wrong 🤷♀️
@AnushkaAsthana
What fantastic timing. Couldn't possibly be coming out now right on top of the SG report. Massive coincidence obviously.
Package won't touch the sides, and all those in the middle ground not on benefits just scraping by will lose their homes or go without essentials.
@nickcad
Oh this is poor from you. I knew I was trans from 8, was socially transitioned by 20, detransition by 23 due to the hate/ignorance/family picked on. Retransitioning at 47. People like you prevent people like me living our authentic selves through fear etc.
@zoomerbread
@hoeletariat23
One if my best friends HE days invited me over, and proceeded to play me Rogan vids, with a side order of Chapelle and a few others. My asked why I was sighing a lot so I told him exactly why 🤣
@testosteronejew
47. I'm out to my brother and work, still not my mum. She threatened to have me held down so she could cut my long hair off in my 20's, so yeah I don't feel she's at all supportive!
@AriDrennen
Was invited to an IWD Women's network meeting today. Hours later, invited to a 'girls night out' with 15 other cis women who knew me before I started transition.
Matt, if you surround yourself with people like yourself it's an echo chamber, normal people like us just fine.
@Fred16603
@AyoCaesar
It asks the question how she married him in the first place. I'm going to assume at some point way back when he was a decent person, but became radicalised. His sister won't speak of him and she seems fairly normal.
@KayBurley
You're not walking back from this are you. We virtually NEVER get a chance to speak without having 'the other side' scream in our face. The media, including you, platform and promote these people without a single one of us ever being present or letting us offer a counterpoint.
@StopTweetingMia
I don't know what's worse; these people not being able to tell or them not recognising some of the most famous women of the 80s/90's 🤣
@KaioYeen
@The_sigma_fem
Saw a story exactly like this last week. Couple new to area went into an Italian that had no customers, just guys in suits, a grandma type appeared and fed them to bursting.
They went back a week later, gone.
@TanjaBueltmann
@Tesco
Pretty sure that's just security being awkward.
I was in Tesco at lunch today and one of the self checkout staff had a mask on.
Several of the staff at our regular store wear masks.
@Iliketoeatsand1
Ah, don't run polls on here. The GCs watch for them and then pile on to get their desired result.
To be fair we do the same to them, it's pointless.
@KRutlidge
I don't understand how you can be a writer, someone used to doing *RESEARCH*, and just take some random post with an obvious agenda as fact and post it out to millions of people like it's true.
@jillyglenister
@KatyMontgomerie
So you're telling me 60+ women, vast majority over the age of 30, most having worked there twice as long as me, are all 'afraid'? Oh Jilly, I know the reality of real life must terrify you but this one takes the biscuit.
@thornhawthorne
I'm immensely lucky, my salon is about as inclusive as it gets. I've got long hair and they colour it for me, but last time I was in they styled it in such a classically femme way that when I put my glasses on to see I almost burst into tears.
@UnframeOfMind
I use they/them and was raised in a family unit like you describe. We were and are loved and looked after. I have siblings, but I just came out different that's all.
@RoseSchmits
You wouldn't even know she was/is a writer from her Twitter output these days. She won't recover from this now, she's screwed it all up and being horrible to minorities is her new identity.
@the_meghaning
Toughen up like she has, crying about the trans?
Trouble is we are tough, we stand up for ourselves same way as cis woman have for a very long time and don't have a problem calling shit jokes out.
She should try it.
Turned off replies to this as too many people arguing and my notifications are wild, making it tricky to see quality content such as my daily dose of cat pics 🤣
@stephenwhittle
You are correct in that suspicion. Although it's probable I'll be doing that decades before my 1st appointment there will be 1000s, perhaps more, trans people that can't afford it and that is indeed scandalous. It's already created a 2 tier healthcare issue for trans people.
@MxVivianWulf
My mum tried this with me, said if I didn't get my hair cut by that weekend she would get her BF and his mates to hold me down and they would do it.
I moved out that weekend. Less than a month later she was asking for me to come home.
@minusplnp
She always does this around the time a story comes out about her, such as not being included in the film get-together. She seeks attention and validation, so sad.
@Esqueer_
I tried that for almost 40 years. Still trans but now I'm old and full of what could have been had I transitioned sooner.
I'm one of the 'lucky ones' in that it didn't mess me up to the point of checking out, but it was very close.
@Transgendertrd
@educationgovuk
@thecassreview
@AlisonTunley
Outright lie. Go and ask my lesbian daughter that came out at 15 if you like. I myself identified as NB/trans by the time I was 8 years old, so I have no idea where you get your info from.
Back of a GC cereal packet?
@KatyMontgomerie
*Show me where JK is being transphobic*...
'But she's not mentioned trans people there, you're reaching'
Go ask her who she's referring to here then, and you get nothing. It's her MO, never directly linked, but the smell lingers...
@minusplnp
I did actually try that for quite a few years, but now I'm older and age has started to change my form into something that doesn't fit how I feel, which is why I'm going for medical transition close to my 50s.
But yes you get stick regardless of what you do.
@KatyMontgomerie
I had a convo a while ago with a 'no trans kids' type, where I presented myself as example A, having known what I was since I was at least 8 & still being the same at 48. But I apparently don't exist, created by social contagion that also didn't exist in the 80s 🤦♀️🤣
@KatyMontgomerie
That's about the age our daughter came out as gay to us. 'They're often' is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
She's still gay at 20, so how about we listen, take them seriously, support them and see how it goes without fear or pushing them one way or the next 🤷♀️
@truefauxfunk
Not going to disagree, older stuff was OK and I'd watched plenty of stuff worse than him in my time but the shift to dunking on trans people, repeatedly, did it for me.
Minors, too young.
18-25, Brains aren't developed enough.
25+, Groomers, perverts, predators etc
Supportive parents, vulnerable.
Is that all of it, or are the dead trans people guilty of something too?
🤦♀️
‘Gender critical’ transphobes have progressed from infantilising trans people in order to override their bodily autonomy to infantilising trans-supportive parents.
Just because parents don’t join their bigoted hate cult, it doesn’t make them “vulnerable”! 🙄😣
@laurenpeace16
70s baby, knew but didn't know due to lack of info. By late 90s was presenting NB/femme intermittently. Met a girl, got married (wore more makeup than the bride!)
That was 21 years ago. Despite presenting femme from time to time since I've been too afraid to come out as trans.
@iLeftyFemBot
@ThomasWillett9
Well it's obviously not buying her happiness 🤣
Trans people are living in her head rent free, and yours too by the sounds of it 😉
@ZJemptv
If someone tells me they are gay, I believe them etc.
I don't try and talk them out of it, or send them for therapy etc
People are so scared of trans people they will do anything to stop anything validating for us, and simply believe we are not what we say we are 🤷♀️
@nyx_nyx_nyx_666
I was GNC early 2000s, just starting my journey then Sophie Lancaster happened and being different became a lot harder. Went cis overnight and have been either denying it or stealth ever since.
Just recently came out again to a few people.
@setoacnna
Ok now I'm no writer, but that sounds like the worst thinly veiled fan fiction straight to video tripe I've seen in a long time.
And I read the free books you get on Amazon!
@jillyglenister
@KatyMontgomerie
What's even funnier is when I first transitioned I went in to the women's loo and their were colleagues in there chatting, and so I went to back out but they called me in and said its where i should be now. That's real life, not this twitter mess of bigotry 🤷♀️
@alicemydaughter
I had my work Xmas do on Friday night, and after the meal we went to one of the 'village' branded bars. I must have used the toilet 10+ times over the 6+ hours we were there, and I even had a full on convo with another girl. No-one IRL cares as much as GCs/Gov do. It's wild.
@setoacnna
I had women tell their kids to 'be careful of the lady' when in line for things when I'm in men's jeans and a hoody, unshaven, but with long hair
'We can always tell' 🤦♀️
@andrew_b72
When we get threats like these we mostly don't mention it as its a daily occurrence and we won't usually think about using it for points somewhere else.
Threats are never OK:
Popular gay person on SM posted these recently, and this is just one, he has pages of this stuff.
Nothing says 'social justice campaigner' like being a White billionaire with fourteen million followers and targeting women of colour for nothing other than being trans.
Solidarity with Munroe, Mridul and other victims of JK Rowling's frenzy of hate.
@AraquelBloss
So I'm one of the 'good ones' then? So I guess it's easier to use a sweeping generalisation than admit that Blannchard's work has been debunked/refuted many times and it's now seen as an anti trans slur, a stick to beat us with.
Bad form for this.
@JoWoCo
@kfc
My daughters GF suffers from endometriosis & had a heavy bleed whilst working in her KFC. She bled through her clothes, wasn't allowed to go home and change until her shift had finished..
@theErinPaige
I know its internal dysphoria, but you already look 100% feminine to me & gorgeous. I thought perhaps I could get away with not having it but if even you are having it..eek
@stephenwhittle
It's almost like they simply must find *something* dirty on you they can use to tar your name.
When all you've actually done is live your life the best way you can, like they keep telling us we need to do...
