Update. Cheers everyone. Evidently spare parts are harder to find for old winemakers. Have to have a second surgery on my hip early tomorrow morning and then home on Monday.
Roasted a Lamb rack on a bed of tomatoes tonight. Have not done one in a few years as my quality radar is high. Turned out nice but still hard to find great lamb locally. Before and after.

My go-to salad dressing is 2 T Good Sherry vinegar and 2 T red wine vinegar shaken with a pinch of salt and a t. Dijon. Add 12 T MY (haha) EVOO.
I make this every couple days.
Ribeye night on the grill. Rubbed with evoo, course salt, fresh rosemary and dried thyme, with a touch of garlic powder. Served with my horseradish sauce. Drank our Passione Divina Retro with

Dinner at our Distributors home. Starter was amazing fresh white asparagus with hollandaise sauce and Danish caviar. Followed by a lovely Pot Roast. Wines were off the chart.

mom. Hospital gave her days. IT'S A MIRACLE. Yesterday the bleeding just stopped and today being moved out of Hospice back to her room at long term care. Thanks to all for your thoughts-so grateful

Hi Michael, both roasts are uncooked in the first picture. The one on the left is rubbed with Kansas City dry spices and the one on the right is rubbed with Cuban spices. Here is the Cuban one cooked and pulled ready for Cuban sandwiches tomorrow.
Exhausted from waiting with Erich for surgery. Left for Mexican comfort food. I will head back to pick him up soon. I have never waited so long for someone to go into surgery.

The search for the best escargot in Paris lead us back to Dinner at L’Escargot Montorgueil. Again, the escargot didn’t disappoint. Nor did the Duck pie, Sole Meunière and E. Guigal Cote-Rotie Chateau d’ Ampuis. Our last night in France from Paris.
