Regardless of how successful and established you become as a young black South African, never detach yourself from the realities of the average black South African youth.

A creative career demands resilience beyond talent, It requires the ability to navigate rejection, criticism, and self-doubt. The pressure to create, perform, and meet expectations can be overwhelming.
Nothing kills black young talent like lack of information and opportunities. When you have access to them, even if its a little, always share, there is enough room for everyone to strive.
We don’t talk enough about how much luck contributes to a person's success. Sometimes, I look back, and I don't understand how some things happened in my life.
You need to start taking those pictures and videos again for your own memories, not just for social media. Even if you don't think you look good at that moment, you'll look back and miss memories from years of your life.
God has never put one dream in my heart that He deems unattainable. He will always provide the skills, ability, direction & resources I need to carry out His will for me, no matter how hard it is and how long it'll take.
In the journey towards your goals, allow yourself to be a beginner. A lot of people would be more ahead if they actually did the things they think they’re too good/cool for.

My circle is small but strong. If there's one thing I'm fortunate for in life, it's the people God has placed in my life. From the family I was born into, to the friends I grew up with & met along the way to my partner I'm building a life with, they're the definition of blessings

Having worked on some of the deals above one thing I can tell you is brands were more invested in the artists and not huge songs, by the time the artists were able to get these big brands they were Household names, artist who could be relevant without even releasing music.
