I’ve just got my Queen back! She spent 3.5 days in Florida babysitting three of our grandchildren. My Dad used to say, “The older we get the more we need each other.” Isn’t that the truth—actually, it’s an understatement! I missed her a lot; its great to feel “complete” again.

Last night I treated Mary to dinner at a local restaurant that had outdoor heated dining in an enclosed patio. The food was great. The heater worked for our faces but not for our backs or legs, but we made do with winter coats! It was worth it just to enjoy being with the Queen.

This morning someone showed me this picture of a full rainbow over the Noah’s Ark replica in Kentucky—I keep thinking about the sureness and comfort and riches of God’s promises. Trusting in Him and resting in His promises are at least half of what life is all about (Ps. 37:3-7).
