I may be wrong, but there’s not another business, where you can turn $20,000 into $120,000, in less than 4 months, with nothing but will power and work. Amazon is ridiculous. What a time to be alive.

Lots of people sleep on eBay. I continue to do it, along with my Amazon. Me being able to scale Amazon, with no debt, was because of eBay. I’ve plowed all of my proceeds from eBay into Amazon. Having an extra $500-1,200 per day is massive, when scaling.

Spending 8 hours a day going though 1000’s of listings (OA/ RA) is tough. This is really hard to scale, yet it’s what all the “gurus” preach. Get your tax exempt number, find suppliers that want your business, buy test items, rinse/ repeat at scale. Simple as that.

For people just starting out on Amazon- keep it simple. The only things you really need are Keepa product finder and the Amazon app. I didn’t find items by scanning bar codes. Take pictures of the shelves, get to your computer, and research the products using KPF. It works.

There’s too much emphasis on ungating in the Amazon space. Just sell what you can, and Amazon will automatically ungate, when trust is built. Getting ungated in Nike and Legos is great, but there’s plenty of money made in the boring niches. Ungating doesn’t guarantee success.

I use Keepa and Selleramp (and I’m currently barely using selleramp). I don’t have repricer or inventory manager (maybe later). My best tools are my fingers and my mind. Don’t over complicate Amazon. Many people are overcome with paralysis by analysis. Just start!

Sourcing for Amazon is tough. I started with the “selleramp/ chasing sales” method. It wasn’t for me. It’s really hard to scale, when you’re always looking for the next “shiny object”. Finding the unicorns is what I’d been doing with eBay for 3 years.

The new fees suck the life out of my cheaper items. $0.42/ item is tough! Selling higher $$ items, and continue doing a good bit of FBM, is the play for me.

95% of what I sell, I can buy a month from now, at a similar price, from the same vendor, and make a respectable margin, on Amazon. I’ve been in the slow lane for 3 months, and plan on staying here. Keepa doesn’t lie.

Treatment resistant depression was my diagnosis. Keeping my mind busy by working, is my medicine. Being a productive part of society, is highly underrated. We all have to find our own “medicine”. Amazon and ebay, have been a big part of pulling me out of a very dark time.

How I know I’m making money? I’ve put in $25K, over the past 3 months. I’ve got $40K+ of paid for inventory, and money in the bank. I haven’t borrowed any money, and haven’t taken any out. Simple math.

It’s crazy the amount I’m spending on inventory. 3 months ago it was tough spending $500 per day. Cash was hard to come by. Lately, I’ve been spending $3-7K/ day, consistently.

Amazon/ reselling in general, is a long term game. Finding/ testing ASIN’s now, will pay dividends down the road. There is no secret to finding profitable products. The more I work, the “luckier” I get.

Over $16K in sales for Saturday and Sunday. I’m not worried about any sales/ deals. I’m working on increasing, what I already know works. It baffles me, the number of veteran Amazon sellers, that are continually staying in the rut of chasing the next unicorn. Boring is better
