LeBron James: "I've got three guys that I love watching play: Tom Brady, Antonio Brown mixed with Le'Veon Bell -- they're on the same team so I get an opportunity to watch the same guys at the same time -- and my favorite player right now is Carson Wentz."

After two-and-a-half years, my time at NBC Sports Philadelphia covering the Sixers has come to an end. Thank you to all those who have followed along and welcomed me to Philly. Stay tuned.
"I’m not going to cry over spilled milk. Markelle and Ben are special players and they need to be out there for us to win. I’ve just got to stay ready. If my number’s called, I’ve just got to go out there and be a pro and help this team win.” - T.J. McConnell

Some news for you ... I am excited to share my new role as Nationals beat reporter for . I look forward to bringing you all the latest on the team from Spring Training and throughout the season.
"I know he wants to get out there. He can't wait. I'm looking forward to playing with him just because the start of the season, you could see a lot of potential with him. I think we're going to have a great chemistry once he gets back." -

Evan Lee described the moment he found out he was being called up from Double-A for his Major League debut with the Nationals — while at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Sean Doolittle entered the Nationals clubhouse this morning and was excitedly greeted by those in there. He quickly began catching up with former teammates and meeting new ones.
Brown on T.J.: "He was the MVP of the game. He wears his heart on his sleeve. I have a very antagonistic relationship with him. I coach him harder than I coach anybody. I'm so proud of him coming out of left field, being in the NBA, staying in the NBA and now playing in the NBA."
Thank you so much for all the kind words and messages! They are very much appreciated. Looking forward to bringing you the latest from Las Vegas Summer League.
“I’m not a crier, but if I was, I would have probably cried after the game when I talked to them.” - Embiid was moved by the fans in Milwaukee on Sunday, also called all Sixers fans on the road tonight “amazing.”
Embiid on what happened with Westbrook foul: "I think I was going for the block and I think he lost the ball, but I was already in the air. I don't know what, why he was mad. I have no idea. But he's always in his feelings, so I have no idea."
Aníbal Sánchez’s son told his dad on camera he was going to make his season debut on Thursday. (Sánchez had been told over the phone by Davey Martinez earlier.)
Embiid's take on what happened to his mask:
“Justise stepped on it and tried to break it with his hands. But little do they know is that I have about 50 of them. So it’s going to take much more than that to get me out of the series. I’m going to be a nightmare for them, too.”
Trading for Jimmy Butler is a massive roster shakeup for the Sixers, but doing it this early in the season gives them time to establish team chemistry, determine roles far before the start of the playoffs.
Asked Ben Simmons what he’s learning about himself in the playoffs: “That I’ve got a lot of growing to do. It’s the first season I’ve played, the first time I’ve played in the playoffs. I’m learning a lot.”

Joel Embiid to play against the Knicks. "To me it’s special because I’ve been here for four years and we’ve gone through a lot and a lot of losing. To be in this type of matchup, especially with the whole world watching on Christmas, I’m excited," he said.
Simmons: "I’m not worried about putting up points every game. As long as we win that’s all I’m worried about. I think everything else will come along with it. But that’s just not the way I play. I don’t need to score 30,40 pts every game. I can create 40 pts by passing the ball."
Brett Brown: "We know what our targets will be in free agency & what we’re looking for in the NBA Draft. But if we’re not successful, if we’re not able this year to achieve that, it’s not going to be like we’re going to lose our minds & pivot out & do something that’s reckless."
Three years ago today I covered my first Sixers game in Philadelphia. That day they signed Elton Brand and beat the Timberwolves for their fourth win of the season. Thanks to all of you who welcomed me to Philly back then and continue to read, watch and follow along.
