It’s not politically “sexy” for election candidates to talk about prisons. But last year alone prisons cost the taxpayer (YOU) over £4 billion & that’s due to rise. If “tough on crime” policies worked we’d see less crime, less spent on prison & more money for OUR communities
@Jliffe
Jan Cunliffe 🧡#JENGbA

@John_Podmore The prison estate should be a real issue the next Government, with the first step being a full prison audit. Who is there, how long for & why? Committing to disastrous tough on crime policies is what has led us to this point & we need to remember many prisoners are children.

We’ve hit the target for registration ✊🏽 If anyone can help with a donation to get Campaign leaflets designed & printed we can hit the ground running in the coming weeks. #VoteIndependent on #Independentsday #generalelection #4thJuly #forthemanynetwork Wigan deserves a chance 🙏🏽

I am asking for donations that gives Wiganers a fighting chance to get an #Independent MP. I need to be out in the community convincing locals it’s worth voting for someone who has their interests at heart. #Nandy ignores all our issues, enough is enough✊🏽

@markygee6 @broseph_stalin You would be surprised just how many lawyers are superbly stupid. Probably the reason why the british justice system is in the dire state it is. Qualifying is expensive, so it’s not always about the brain it’s more about the money you need to become one.

A former adviser to Boris Johnson says its all very well for trade unions to secure better pay rises through disputes and industrial action, but what about the millions of people who are not part of a union? @schneiderhome : "I agree... the answer to that is join a trade union"
