So what powers the Picasso Network? The native token for Picasso is PICA. It is up 3,200+% since September 1st, sitting at a $80m MC and $211m FDV at the time of writing. PICA has significantly outperformed as shown below:

Picasso is tackling this by building on Inter Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol and expanding it beyond the Cosmos ecosystem, extending its trustless bridging and cross-chain infrastructure.

In 2023, they successfully connected the Polkadot, Kusama, and Cosmos ecosystems via their IBC integrations. In 2024, they aim to connect Ethereum L1, Solana, and NEAR. Besides their IBC integrations, their roadmap expands a lot more to include many more catalysts.

For context, IBC has facilitated over $3.9b in monthly transfer volumes alone as of January 9th, comprising mainly Cosmos-based chains. Opening IBC to some of the largest ecosystems such as Solana, Ethereum, and NEAR is a huge opportunity for Picasso Network.

Stride's business model is very easy to understand: As a liquid staking provider, a catalyst can be defined as anything that will help Stride issue more LSDs, thus, increasing its TVL and revenues for stakers. More TVL = more revenues for $STRD stakers 🤓

@nosleepjon IBC connected to their cosmwasm contracts. Rn Terra’s CW-20 tokens cannot be sent over IBC whereas CW-20 tokens like NETA can be listed on Osmosis. I’m assuming Terra will resolve soon and then the value add becomes unclear for Juno over Terra

On the roadmap, Picasso plans on: - Enabling restaking through validators (secure the ecosystem) - Expand accepted assets into vaults (Cosmos assets, etc.) - Allow restakers to power other chains and apps (i.e Eigenlayer AVS)

One key takeaway is it's a winner-takes-most market as of today, with Lido winning out most of the LSD market share, creating a flywheel effect for its continued growth. Stride has a stellar team that has consistently executed their vision.

Stride's model can be summed up with one word: minimalism • Secured by ATOM's $3.5b MC • No other apps besides the core liquid staking protocol - built using modules on the Cosmos SDK and IBC. • Codebase audited 3 times and has IBC rate limiting in place.

In total, the estimated valuations on these chains through their most recent investment rounds push well into the multi-billion dollar valuation range. Naturally, these chains' tokens will likely onboard the largest LSD provider when they go live 📈
