my biggest takeaway from the #XboxBethesda event is that I really enjoy seeing straight up gameplay and mostly 12 month release windows. Good move. I think I'm kinda over seeing a CGI trailer for a game and then waiting 7 years to play it.

I've played about 3 hrs of Alan Wake 2! You're gonna be hearing this a lot: it seems pretty damn awesome. Saga sections feel like a true Alan Wake sequel. Alan sections feel like Remedy on wild sicko mode. the fantasy noir NY environment is the most Remedy thing ever. WILD.

This trailer doesn't do it justice. I got to see it behind the scenes a few wks ago. It's a reboot. A bit slower, more tactical. Door breaching. Scary, realistic death animations. Close quarters. They're going full-edgy with the campaign. To me it felt like 'No Russian: The Game'
